“ Great hotel, very modern feel about it, nice breakfast, nice lounge and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Had 2 evening meals in the restaurant, thought they were good quality and reasonable prices. Would love to stay there again.

“ I agree with other reviewers in relation to the quality of the hotel, the food and the general value for money. Location is in the commercial area but a 10/15 minute walk brings you to the city centre, the beach and the old quarter. Location also excellent for airport access by bus, the bus station and the train station. The staff were very helpful: a receptionist went to great trouble to help me print boarding passes on our final day. However it is a commercial in a very Spanish city so if you want to spend your days lounging by the pool chatting to other English speaking holiday makers then you'll be disappointed. Also no "ladies of the night" to be seen; struck me as very safe.

1. Have coffee in cafe in the castle. Brilliant view.
2. Cheap, good value restaurants on San Pascual, half way up the ramblas, on right coming from sea.
