“ This is a very pleasant hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is superb for getting to the beach and the entertainment around the area.

The only negative would be the poor view we had from our room. I wasn't expecting wildebeasts galloping in front of my window by the way. We just viewed a brick wall about two metres away.

The hotel provide a 24hr baggage holdage service which we found very useful.

This hotel is very suitable for short weekends away.

“ Top Tip: The beach nearby is excellent.

“ Clean, decent size room, with large nicely decorated bathroom. The staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is varied with lots of healthy options.
The hotel is literally in the heart of the picturesque old town where many restaurants, shops, churches and museums are.
The only disadvantage my room had is the lack of terrace, but it was not a big problem.

“ Top Tip: Lots of restaurants offer a set menu for €10 which far exceeds your expectations on the quality.

“ I booked this hotel for a 3nights stay for myself and my boyfriend for his birthday(young couple). The reception staff were very friendly and on request of asking for a room with a good view, we got exactly that. We ended up with room 404 which had its own little balcony and a view of Santa Barbara castle and also an overview of the street. The bad reviews on noise could not be more wrong, on level4 anyway. There is a bus stop right round the corner and the beach is literally across the road, along with restaurants on the strip. This was definitely an ideal hotel for a short stay and we will definitely return.

Avoid the breakfast if your a fussy eater. Its minimal: bread, toast, meats, cheeses, fruits, cereal, tea, coffee. Was ok for us to just start the morning off, but dont expect a fry up.

The area itself at the time we stayed wasn't so much full of tourists which was nice, as thats the whole point of 'getting away'. So better to learn a little basic spanish just incase. My boyfriend is a fussy eater whereas I like all foods, so there was a good range of choice in the area, like spanish restaurants and mcdonalds, kfc, burger king and chinese. Be aware of the beggars, they wont pester if you shew them off, when we were in mcdonalds, one lady had a baby in her arms held her hand out, literally begging for food and had a chicken nugget from us haha.

“ Top Tip: Tips:
visit Santa Barbara castle- get the lift(ask at reception), we tried to walk it, got lost and took us over an hour(our stupid faults though, thought we knew better). Do a day trip and get a package trip to a waterpark in Benidorm(via tram approx 30 odd euro each, for tram and admission). Go to the casino, eat on the boat by the casino, have drinks/food on the harbour(little bit more expensive to eat here).
Get the C6 bus to and from the airport 2.70euro, takes half an hour, otherwise a taxi costs approx 20euro. Take a camera. Total spendage inc food and excursions= approx 500euro for two for 3nights.
