Hotel staff really friendly and helpful. Standard room was excellent with large bathroom and a wonderful shower.
Location was very good with taxi rank and bus stop right outside. Lots of restaurants nearby. View of beach from restaurant and lounge was wonderful. Right beside the beach yet handy for old town.
Would stay here again.

Top Tip:
Take a taxi to the tram station and take the local bus back down. For a flat fare of 1.20 euros you can go right along to the harbour and along Lavante beach.
For a cup of hot tea, try the Sports bar down by the harbour.

“ Absolutely loved this hotel and our stay here (Nov 19th to Nov 26th/2011). My wife, 2 year old toddler and myself had a thoroughly excellent time here. Perfectly located, it had great reception entrance and bar with international daily papers. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The views from the lounge was stunning especially if you wanted to see sunrise over the rock. Really have no major or minor quibbles with this hotel.
“ Top Tip: Loved the aquarium at Valencia (Oceanographic) - well worth the trip and the expense.

“ We visit a friend who lives nearby. Last year she didn't have room for us, so we stayed here. This year she did have room, but we stayed here. We were spoilt in 2010, and particularly enjoy the breakfasts. Everything is clean and sparkling, the staff are always friendly, the room are a good size- even the internal ones have windows overlooking a quadrangle. If I was intending to " live " in the room , an external one would be better as the internal room is a bit dark. The pool was far to cold again, but a great place to sit to go swimming in the sea, as the pool is on the beach. I gather there are a hole load of facilities at the SPA, that we havent even seen. On the day we left we had to leave early- so they set us off with a picnic breakfast.
“ Top Tip: Disappointing lack of regional food, but some good food to be found. La Casa in the old town stands out for me, as does the Paella at " Le Montagne" further along the sea front. Watch out for some cafes that don,t make prices clear and then charge rip off prices to tourists. 4 Euros for a small microwaved pancake with a spoon of chocolate sauce on at a cafe near the harbour was poor value ! But I'm told that you can negotiate !

“ A beautiful hotel-all back marble and modern fittings.Our room was very cle an and comfortable with excellent bathroom and nice toiletries.We had a problem with the lights fusing and they were there to sort in in lessthan 5 mins.Had to queue for breakfast but they worked hard to get people seated.

“ From the moment we arrived at the reception the staff were fantastic, even parked the car for us. Our room overlooked the pool and was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very polite. The only thing I would say is that you need a car if you want to eat outside the hotel. Other than that it was great.

This hotel has 5 floors and a total of 201 rooms including 196 doubles, 2 junior suites, 2 Superior rooms and a room adapted for disabled guests. It has a lobby with 2 external glass lifts, an internal lift and a 24-hour reception area with a safety box and a free wifi Internet access area (only in the reception area). The establishment has a bar-cafe with a TV and a pool bar (summer only), as well as an air-conditioned buffet restaurant, 4 meeting rooms and a crystal lounge for meetings and events (payable on site). There is a garage for guests arriving by car (fees payable on site, subject to availability). A laundry service is provided on request (payable on site) and 24-hour room service (with local charges). Younger guests will enjoy the hotel's two playgrounds.
“ We stayed at the hotel for one night and although the hotel looks nice from the outside it really does not qualify as a 4 star hotel in fact I would say it just about qualifies as a 2 star although it does have spa facilities and a swimming pool.

The Roca Esmeralda is a modern hotel situated just off the Levante Beach and only 2.5 km from Calpe. Both the port area and the town centre can be reached along the nearby Paseo Maritimo Promenade via the frequent bus service. The hotel has a total of 212 bedrooms all of which are air conditioned and equipped with television, radio, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, fridge and terrace. Facilities at the hotel include a buffet restaurant, an a la carte Grill Restaurant and a snack bar. Leisure facilities include three outdoor swimming pools, a heated indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.
“ I have stayed at this hotel many times, indeed four times this year,I find it brilliant, the food is wonderful,all the staff are excellent throughout the hotel, clients are mainly Spanish,Belgian, German and French, the food is therefore mainly for the continental palate, delicious, hotel very clean. This hotel, which is in front of the beach, is modern and functional and has 7 floors and a total of 284 rooms, 277 doubles, 6 double rooms with a living room and 1 suite. In the lobby there is a reception desk open 24 hours a day and 3 lifts. The establishment has a bar-terrace, lobby-bar, air-conditioned restaurant, several conference and events rooms, TV and games rooms, terminals with Internet connection (local charge applies) and ADSL WLAN zone in the public areas. “ Hotel clean and tidy. Pool no good for sunworshippers as it is largely in the shade, on the plus side this meant that it was reasonably quiet and a pleasant place to spend a very hot day. Breakfast ok Bedrooms were ok, nothing special but reasonably sized and clean. Pillows poor and beds very hard Wifi worked well
