“ Firstly this hotel is good value for money. Big rooms, beds, and balconies and lots of sun beds by the pool. Very good location for beaches and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

However, be aware of the following:

1) Whatever they tell you in reception, they never put the air conditioning on until 1st June and it can get very hot before that date.
2) They have introduced a 3 Euro per person charge for the indoor pool, plus the same charge for using the gym and sauna. We wanted to sit by the pool and watch out grandchildren play in the pool and were told that we would have to pay the charge also.

“ Top Tip: Just go B & B and eat out. Very good and cheap restaurants close by.

“ Very good hotel, close to restaurants and the beach, Food in the hotel was very good, Excellent outdoor & indoor pool, a wide choice of food to choose from and always prepared fresh and hot. Only small gripe would be the hotel entertainment which is always aimed at in my opinion say the age group 55 years plus.

“ The hotel itself and staff were excellent - The food needed an overhall! I did not feel that it reached the standard it should have been for a four star hotel.

“ Dissapointed visit this year. Our fifth time. The rooms were looking sad, needing a new coat of paint. Linen was exceptional, fresh towels each day, so no fear there. Everyone still friendly and efficient. Food very good (we were only B & B).

“ Top Tip: Royal India Restaurant, Calpe. Just a short walk from the hotel. Excellent food and lovely ambience. If you go before 7.30pm they offer 4 courses for 9.95 euros. That is 1 starter, 1 main meal, rice or naan and either tea or coffee. Absolutely wonderful.
