Renovated in 2008, this beach hotel is a cosy hotel with a total of 21 rooms spread across 3 floors. It is located on the beach promenade of El Campello, very close to the marina and town centre. There, guests can find a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. It is just 200 m from a tram stop with connections to several towns in the Costa Blanca area, as well as theme parks such as Terra Metica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia. The nearest bus and train stations can be found in Alicante (some 15 km away). It is some 25 km from the airport (Alicante El Altet).The rooms are all doubles, and come with individually-adjustable air conditioning and heating, a satellite TV, direct dial telephone (subject to fees), minibar (subject to fees) and a full bathroom with hairdryer. Some rooms have sea views. Balconies and terraces also feature.Due to the ideal location of this hotel, next to the beach, guests can take advantage of the range of water sports activities offered there, including water skiing, jet skiing, motor boating, diving, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing and canoeing (all subject to fees). The beach is sandy and comes with sun loungers and parasols (both subject to fees). Other activities and sports are also offered on the beach: aerobics, a gym (only in summer) and beach volleyball. For younger guests, there is an activity programme (subject to fees). Golf courses can be found in the vicinity, with Bonalba Golf course just 8 km away (golf course subject to fees). Horse riding is also offered (subject to fees). The hotel also offers a physiotherapy service and massage treatments (subject to fees).

“ booked into the playa for 5 days stayed for 2,workmen hit a power cable at the back.they moved us to their sister hotel a couple of minutes away (jorge1)it was rubbish no balcony,you dont want to hear about the b/fast just take my word for it it was BAD and i am easily pleased.back to the playa great position staff very friendly ,rooms where a bit on the small side and so was the bathroom but ample for us we had a balcony overlooking the beach.had a meal the first night not that good.prices very good in the bar.we are going to go back soon.its not their fault that there was no lecky.
“ Top Tip: some good bars just off the front,a great tapas bar at the back of the hotel.if you go up by the tram station there are a lot of spanish bars.if you like english then the bull on the main road is ok(nice couple from oldham)nice to see spanish people drinking in an english bar.

“ We stayed 16th Oct till 23rd Oct, Staff were very pleasant, clean room, linen was changed at least every other day, breakfast, continental could be improved but adequate, unfortunately restaurant was not open evenings however had meal at 3 o'clock one day ,it was excellent
“ Top Tip: If you want a special meal.Restaurant Cova overlooking harbour was superb, we did not book but it was very busy.Price for the quality of the meal was very good.

Right next to the beach,we had a room on the first floor,the room was ideal for us,nicely furnished and very clean with a nice sized bathroom with shower and bath and plenty of hot water all the time.
Smallish balcony that isnt overlooked from above,t.v and a small fridge to keep the wine chilled!
Breakfast (continental style) is served at Hotel Campello and dinner and evening meal are at the nearby Hotel Jorge 1 a couple of blocks away,we were full board and the food at Jorge 1 was mostly good with very good service from the hotel staff there.
For the amount we paid for this holiday i would say that it was tremendous value for money,the hotel staff were always helpful and i wouldnt hesitate to stay again.
The resort itself was quite nice with a lovely clean stretch of beach,dont come here if you want to party all night - go to benidorm instead!

Top Tip:
Use the trams and buses,they are very cheap and the tram especially.
From the airport dont bother with expensive taxis (about 35 euros to Campello),get the bus to Playa del mar in Alicante then get the tram (which is right near the bus stop) to El campello.
It will save you around 25-30 euros.

“ This hotel is brilliant, very very clean, rooms lovely and cleaners in every day, ours looked out to the front of the hotel overlooking the beach and med, wonderful views, we went in october so quieter time to relax. Brilliant continental breakfast was lovely all round.
“ Top Tip: There was the 3 day festival starting with a re enactment of the Moors v Christians all in costume , then going on to the festival in the town, brilliant !!!! Campello is very old style spanish and not alot of shops/restraunts speak english but we done ok, supermarkets are very cheap- sea front shops/restraunts are quiet expensive so go up the back streets and you will get a fantastic meal half the price. We used the tram to go from Campello to Benidorm for the day and was 3.80 Euros return and the tram was very clean.
