“ Bustling, busy hotel, mainly Spanish families on holiday, so probably would't suit 'older' brits! There was always a queue for the lifts as many families had pushchairs. The pool area was busy and it was difficult to get space for a sun lounger, except at siesta time! Rooms were spacious, if a bit old fashioned. The buffet style food in the restaurant was certainly plentiful but only just of adequate quality. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The hotel is 5 minutes from a beach and about 10 - 15 minutes walk from Denia town where there are lots of bars and restaurants. All in all, the Port Denia Hotel was good value for money.

“ My sister and I have just returned from a great holiday in Denia. We stayed at Port Denia Hotel and enjoyed every minute there. We were on half-board basis of bed/breakfast/evening dinner and the food was very good for the whole of the week. It's self service style and you can eat as much as you like. The guests at the hotel were mainly Spanish families with young children. I found the Spanish families were very well behaved and the children were quite well behaved also. Some British families would probably not appreciate being surrounded by so many Spanish families, but my sister and I felt very much at home with them. Their behaviour at meal times was very good. There was entertainment at the hotel every evening for the children and the adults and we joined in with them every evening. It was a pleasure to be surrounded by so many well behaved people. Something I feel we may not have got had we stayed at a hotel which catered for more British families. We arrived in Denia in time for the Bulls on the beach festival and there was a carnival and fireworks. A really good family atmosphere where we both felt completely safe. I would recommend this hotel to young families who don't mind being surrounded by Spanish families. This hotel may not be suitable to mature adults who may find the children just a bit too much.

Top Tip:
It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the Port Denia hotel in to town.
We had a balcony with a sea view which we requested at the time of the booking.
We were on a half-board basis. This could have been lunch or dinner. We were very impressed with the food and didn't have to worry about finding our evening meal after a day out.
There are a few eating out places within walking distance from the hotel but I cannot recommend them as we didn't eat there, but many Spanish people were eating at them so I would assume from that that they were ok.
We only had a drink at the local bar/restaurant and that was very good.
We went on a boat trip to Javia. The boat left from the Marina which was about 20 mins walk away from the hotel.
There is a very good local bus service which runs along the coast and runs on time!
The local tram service is very efficient and cheap and runs from Denia to Alicante.

“ Very good value for money. The hotel is very Spanish and at weekends is very full. The location is very close to the upmarket Marina and also has an hourly bus service into the town.
“ Top Tip: Good value local restaurants are nearby.
