“ We stayed at the hotel for one night and although the hotel looks nice from the outside it really does not qualify as a 4 star hotel in fact I would say it just about qualifies as a 2 star although it does have spa facilities and a swimming pool. The rooms do have air conditioning/heat but as our door to our balcony was not closed completely this did not work once this problem was sorted the heating did work but it was still cold in the room. We could not get hot water out of the shower only luke warm and as the bathroom was so cold we were unable to shower. We were travelling as a couple and had two single beds which we can handle but having a plastic waterproof sheet on the beds made me wonder where I really was certainly not in a 4 star hotel. the decoration in the hotel was basic and the old blankets were certainly not a nice touch the room could also do with a big upgrade. My boyfriend went down for the breakfast and said although there was a big choice of food again none of it was warm which seemed to be a running theme of the hotel. If you want to park your car you have to pay 10euros a day and you have to check in first before you can park it. The car park lights also go off pretty quickly so we had the fun of trying to unpack the car while standing in darkness. We did get a deal for this hotel although it is off season and other hotels in the area also have low prices so in future I would definately try another hotel. All in all we were glad we were only staying one night and although we had originally thought that we would use the spa facilities the only thing we wanted to do was leave.
“ Top Tip: Altea is beautiful and the old town is not to be missed also a trip to Calpe is worth doing the beach is beautiful and the scenery is lovely.

“ Have stayed at this hotel many times. Everything is always excellent. As returning guests we were given a huge welcome and special discounts. All staff friendly, welcoming and efficient. Rooms very well maintained and cleaned. Very good range of food available at all meals. Cannot sing the praises of this hotel and its staff enough. Thank you Travel Republic yet again for your efficent arrangements.

Albir Garden Apartments are modern and well-equipped and with good facilities. This is a truly attractive complex of low-rise apartments, an ideal holiday resort for families. Set against a backdrop of hills, the Albir Gardens enjoys a quiet location with cafes and restaurants only 150 metres away. The resort centre is a distance of 1 km and the beach is 1.4 km. Lots of family fun and games, good value for money and friendly staff to entertain you. Book the Albir Garden Apartments for a relaxing holiday with some quality time for all! Local Tips: This region has some fascinating local historical sights and natural wonders to visit if you want to get out and about. Official rating is second category.
“ I have stayed at albir gardens many times, so I know what to expect. No english tele apart from true movies. Staff at reception very willing as always to give you whatever help or info you need. Catering facs abit limited, but all in all a good place to stay self catering.

“ Where do we start heating in hotel was none existant exept in your bedroom if you put it on,the bath water if you were lucky you may get two inches in the bath then it went stone cold.the staff were surley to the point of being ignorant at times leaving you standing there waiting to be served in the coffee bar whilst they carried on talking with other staff members.

The Ambassador Playa Hotel consists of two sister hotels linked by a covered walkway and will appeal to families, young and lively and couples looking for a central hotel from which to enjoy Benidorm. The property is very popular with British holidaymakers due to its great location and varied choice of activities and entertainment available on-site. The hotel is an official 3 star but due to its amenities and recent refurbishment we have categorised it as 4.
“ Great hotel, good sized room and facilities, hotel spa is great and well worth the 6 euros per person, in-door pool was good but just a bit cold, ok when you move around. Hotel staff seemed ok didnt have much interaction with them.

This hotel is situated 250 metres from the beach and 800 metres from the centre of Old Town and Benidorm. The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms with full bathroom facilities. Facilities at this hotel include a large swimming pool (heated during the winter), adult swimming pool, children's pool, tennis court, table tennis, children's playground, sun loungers, background music, press, bar service at the pool, shows, live music, dancing at the disco, a buffet restaurant and a varied entertainment program.
“ Excellent position for everything, very clean even though our room was overlooked on one day, but soon corrected after a word at reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. My critiscm would be insufficient choice of vegetables at dinner, and food did not appear to be kept at hot enough temperatur.
