Restaurant was very busy at the weekend, but plenty of food available, though environment was hectic.
Good being able to change the 'half board' from evening meal to lunch if required.

Top Tip: Would be very good for young famillies.

The Hotel itself was excellent. Restaurant food second to none, fabulous choice everyday. It was clean, tidy, the rooms excellent. The 3 swimming pools were fabulous and kept immaculate. However, the entertainment which started at 10 p.m. every night - be it cabaret, spanish dancing, whatever, was soooo loud it was unbearable, it did finish dead on midnight everynight. It was purely for 'kids' 2-14 years old. Nothing whatsoever for Adults, nothing whatsoever for my nephews who were l7 and 20. There was a Bar but it was totally empty as the Hotel was full of Spanish families outside in the entertainment area with their kids. Nothing nearby either without transport. Even then it would have been miles away. The main thing was that almost no one in the Hotel spoke english. Almost everyone of I think 350 rooms were full of Spanish families and whilst the staff were friendly perhaps only 2 spoke English. I understand I was in Spain, but ... never before have I ended up in a Hotel which was full of holiday makers from the same country. I dont think any other Nationality were present. Had I not gone with my Brother and family I probably wouldnt have spoken to anyone all week.
The Beach was certainly more than 200 yards away and when you did get there is was horrible. Full of Gravel. I only went the one day and it was very very dangerous, the waves were huge and no one in the sea itself.
The Poolside bar cost for soft drinks was extortionate I think it was £5 for a glass of fizzy pop.
THIS HOTEL IS IDEAL FOR SPANISH FAMILIES - bUT i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR OTHER nATIONALITIES and it is certainly not for Adults with no children, unless you disappear at night. Even if you go to your bedroom with the french door closed, you cannot shut out the lound music.

Top Tip: There was a fabulous Market along the coast, which we went to in our Hire Car, but absolutely nothing within walking distance.

We have stayed in the sister hotel Marina Playa twice before and were very impressed. We were not disappointed at all by this hotel, apart from being a little bit further to walk to the beach there was no difference. The food, as always, was superb my son who is a coeliac was treated to his own chef's specials (and his own waiter). The entertainment was varied with Kiddies Club entertainment commencing each night (hide somewhere though if you don't like being hauled up to the stage to embarrass yourself) and then the Adult entertainment. The hotel was clean and the Staff were very good. We were the only Brits there at the time and the majority of the staff do not speak English (and why should they?). We are fortunate that we do speak Spanish so I cannot comment on how others would get on but it is a very Spanish hotel in every sense. I would definitely go back again in fact we are all ready looking at dates. Mojacar itself is a wonderful place with much to do for everyone.

Top Tip: The beaches near the hotel are fine but if you want something really special head out towards the town of Calameras and there are some wonderful empty beaches with clear water and lots of fish to look at (paradise my sons called it). Mojacar town is a must see (you can reach it by bus).

Check-in date:

The hotel is very nice but you will struggle if you do not speak Spanish. Nearly all of the guests are Spanish, the entertainment is in Spanish and a lot of the staff have little or no knowledge of English.

The hotel is very modern and clean with polite staff. There are few facilities in the area but there are all the essentials.

The first five days we were in the hotel there were only 20 geusts and of those only eight were brits so we had bar, pool and resturant to ourselves, but on friday we were invaded by 300 spanish. Entertainment was non-exsistant, there were no bars or resturants near by, you had to get a bus into town for those and other shops but there are other hotels near by. Beach is a 400 yard walk which is not bad, area is quite hilly and typically spanish with unfinnished pavements, roads and other work.

Top Tip: The Irish Rover in town was good with nice food and entertainment.
