We went to the Neptuno over the Christmas holiday period with a group of friends. Previously I requested that all our rooms were near to eachother and this request was met, the accommodation provided for all of us was in apartments that were very spacious and clean. Everyone was very pleased with the apartments!
The food was adequate without much variation so I would rate it as middle of the road in comparison to previous hotel breaks.
No entertainment at the hotel but plenty of bars and restuarants nearby, with the exception of Christmas Day when only a few places were open. All were good value and friendly.

“ Hotel excellent as a 3* but not as a 4* and if you are looking for a good 3* I would recommend this hotel. The food was variable and very good but the dining room was quite cramped. The appartment rooms, although spacious seemed lacking for a 4* hotel which after all is what you have paid the extra for.

I have stayed in the Hotel Neptuno a number of times now and find the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel is excellent. The attention to the serving of the food in the restaurant is outstanding; staff, chefs, are very pleasant.
I would always pick the Neptuno when available. Nothing is too much trouble.
“ Top Tip: For an evening drink within a few minutes walk The Goleta or The Scotia bars are ideal.

“ The hotel had everything that we wanted - good staff, great location, plenty of eating and drinking places, 2 mins to the beach, buses to Roquetas and to Almeria were frequent etc - all excellent. One thing that would have made the stay better is to have TV channels other than Spanish in the room. If I werre to stay for a longer holiday I would like to watch a news channel in English (or American - but preferably English). Satelite reception would be a big plus for a lot of visitors. Will definately go back again.
“ Top Tip: Restaurant Alpurrharas - one street in form the beach strip was great - bit more expensive but food and service were fantastic. The place to go fro at least one 'special' meal.
