Booked this hotel as is catered for a family of 5. The set up for sleeping was terrible. When complaining to reception they qouted the bed measurements were on website. I must admit I did not notice at time of booking. There was 2 single beds in the bedroom & a small sofa bed (not double) and a single pull out chair. (which was very uncomfortable) it was not adequate for 3 children. Consequently 2 of my children had to stay elsewhere with family for the our holiday. Which was a real shame. The bathroom in our room was very tired rust spots in the bath, shower head shoot the water past the end of the bath so had to hold it the whole time whilst showering. There was limescale stains down the toilet. There was rotten wood on the bathroom door frame. There is just 2 English chanels on the TV both of them being news chanels.

On the up side, the pool was great for the kids, the food was good & the rest of the hotel was clean & tidy. Its a shame they do not cater properly for larger families for this reason I will not be able to come back to the Playa Luna

A good quality hotel right on the beach, we were only B and B but you could not fault the food.Staff were friendly and although most of the guests were either Spanish or German we got along fine.

The only negative point was that we had made a request for either a wet room or a room with a shower as one of our party was a little unsteady on her feet when we recieved no negative reply we assumed that this would be OK but on arrival were told that they have no such rooms.....so if you need such facilities it may be better to stay elsewhere.

Great hotel! Had breakfast everyday at the hotel was very nice. One thing I didn't like was all the bird poop on the sun loungers! They should clean them! Swimming pool outside was very nice however it should really be hoovered every morning. I didn't see it get hoovered once while I was there. There was a little sand and dirt on the bottom plus the odd bit of litter that blew in with the wind. Life guard didn't seem to bothered about picking up litter around the pool. The indoor pool felt a little grubby and was more like soup than water. Would like to send a sample to the lab lol. Asked for a decent view of either the beach or the pool and was told I needed to pay extra. Didn't like that as the hotel was very quiet when I checked in. Phone calls were very expensive from the hotel as I guess they usually are. Other than these points I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel!! I have stayed @ playa luna a few times now and feel it's one of the best hotels in the resort.

Top Tip: Eat @ San Rocco Italian! Was very nice food!
Personally I thought 5 days is plenty anymore and I feel you will get a little bored depends what you want from your holiday!
There are more nice restaurants can't remember the names.
There is a English community hunt them down ask for advice on dining.

We upgraded to an apartment with small kitchen and lounge with balcony overlooking the pool - suited us just fine. Booked on a half-board basis and there was as much food as you wanted with a great selection. Would go again. Friendly staff who spoke English, too.

very helpful - food was not up to much but that was mainly a dislike of local foods. there was a wide variety but being on holiday we do not like self service. we only booked breakfast so cannot comment on other meals.
On our request for preferred room we did ask for high sea view - we got room 684 which overlooked the road although if you leaned over the balcony you could just see the sea.
I asked for an alternative room and got 220 which faced the sea - so all was well.
Room maid very efficient and helpful.
All in all the hotel was good and would rebook with one of the playa group in the area.

Top Tip: We surfed all the bars and all of them were very good in particular the Fairway which does an excellent breakfast Mar y Sol which does excellent tapas. The India Gate restaurant next to mar y sol was excellent. The Oasis and the M25 do very good food and friendly service. each bar has its own theme and decor.

the one thing the whole resort neads is people as a travel company you would not be going far wrong to promote this corner of spain it has everything but tourists apparently monarch have stopped flying there and thompsons are also not promoting it anymore so a lot of the bars are thinking of packing up and moving to a more commercial part of the costas. which would be a shame because the resort has a lot to offer. Only one observation the beach is not soft sand and the surf can be a bit rough for safe bathing for youngsters - there is safe bathing at the port and also more very good tapas bars.
