“ Lovely old building, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. It's a big hotel spread across several original buildings, and if you are unlucky you may have to drag luggage up and down a short stairway (as you will if you ahve parked your car in the basement). But it's very well located to see Avila, and the main courtyard is memorable.
“ Top Tip: The walls - walk round them, see them at night, see them from outside town.

“ Hotel was excellent, close to the centre. Everything on the hotels doorstep. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel being in a palace was fantastic with many features remaining. The courtyard bar lovely but exspensive. We had breakfast one morning but found it also exspensive.
“ Top Tip: We had a great time exploring the city and walking round the walls, visiting the cathedral, the local shops, bars and restaurants.

This lovely hotel is located beside the cathedral in the heart of the walled city, which is World's Heritage. This hotel has 145 fully equipped bedrooms including a suite that provides every amenity for your best comfort among its historical walls. Every room is equipped with an elegant bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, mini- bar and anything you may require. They are very spacious rooms and nicely decorated. The hotel is an outstanding example of the 16th century civil architecture. This was centuries ago the meeting place of sovereigns and their courtiers among them the Queen Isabel and Carlos V. The sturdy stone walls of this historic hotel, which opened in 1928, conceal a comfortable interior and a total of 74 rooms. The classic wood interiors prevail in the dining room, reading room and living rooms. The presence of granite columns and the furniture creates a traditional Castilian style.
