Barcelona Princess Hotel

“ we have never stayed in such luxury- strictly budget with kids- so it is difficult to be objective. we loved the room, simple but clean, the gym bar for evening meals was limited but good quality menu, what made it for us was the fantastic breakfast- 20euros, so we definitely had a bargain choosing B&B. Next time we visit Barcelona we would probably try and find somewhere nearer the centre, if we can afford it, but otherwise choose this hotel again.

“ The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable, however the cold tap ran hot and vice versa and the effect was the same in the shower as well resulting in scalded skin as we tried to work out why the water took so long to change temperature. We notified a member of staff. The hot food at breakfast time was lukewarm probably as it was laid out buffet style, however the choice was comprehensive and was well stocked throughout the breakfast period. The tables were cleared promptly. The food in the cafe bar was excellent.

“ Just got back from 2 nights at Barcelona Princess Hotel, really impressed, very friendly & helpful with check-in, free mini bar in room, gift pack in bathroom with shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, razor etc, modern room, walk in shower, LCD t.v with a few english channels so you won't have to miss Eastenders or hollyoaks !!!
Stayed B&B, bed was nice & comfy, got a good nights sleep, then downstairs to a very good breakfast, plenty of choice & nice relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant.
Stayed on 8th floor so had a decent view of the sea but went up to 23rd floor for a mooch & view of the city is amazing - so maybe request a high room.
Hotel has 2 small pools, 1 on 3rd floor & 1 on the 23rd floor, male & female saunas, small gym & hot tub - all situated on 3rd floor, these are all free.
The hotel also has free wifi which is a bonus.
Hotel is in a newish part of the city, there are lots of modern buildings & very large shopping centre with plenty of shops & food outlets, subway, burger king, mcdonalds etc.
Hotel is a few miles from la rambla etc but is only 2 euro on the bus, or a good hours walk which is nice & pleasant with plenty of tapas bars along the way, also there are buses & trams every 15 mins or so & the metro is a couple of hundred metres away so don't let the distance be an issue.
Overall, for what we paid for the 2 nights i have no complaints whatsoever & will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to barcelona

“ Top Tip: Public transport in spain is very good, bus from airport is 5euro 30cent to Catalunya drop off point, then get no. 41 bus - this takes you all the way to this hotel & approx 100m from the door & this costs 2euro.
if you get lost or are unsure ask the locals, most are very friendly & speak decent English.

“ This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and the first time breakfast was included. Just glad I didnt pay for breakfast. There was a reasonable choice but everything was cold, including the bacon and scrambled eggs.
