Advance Hotel

“ Having read previous reviews about how nice and convenient this hotel was we were not disappointed.Its interior design is very modern and it has a comfortable lounge area which is also adjacent to the open plan breakfast area.The reception staff were all very smart looking ,cheerful and more importantly helpful.
The rooms were modern with a comfortable bed,air conditioning ( essential in Barcelona) and the bonus was a walk in shower.
Our room was at the back of the hotel which didnt particularly have a good view but that wasnt a priority.As other reviewers have said it is convenient for the aerobus going to and from the airport and its probably a ten minute walk to Place Catulanya-the immediate area around the hotel has a range of shops,bars and cafes and although its not in a particularly touristy area thats a bonus at times!

“ Top Tip: There is a restaurant directly opposite the hotel which is really nice -small,traditional and which serves excellent food--the hotel also recommended it when I asked about its opening times in the evening.

“ We enjoyed a 3 night stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. It was clean, modern, our room was comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was situated in a good location about a 400m walk from the Metro station & a 10 minute walk from the Placa de Catalunya.

“ Top Tip: Visit the Bodega Sepulveda, great tapas and within staggering distance (across the road) from the hotel and make sure that you catch a taxi to the Olympic marina to take in the beach as it's well worth it.

“ The room was brilliant. A great big comfortable bed and extremely clean and modern. The bathroom was fantastic! the best shower in a hotel ever.. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Would thoroughly recommend to friends travelling to Barcelona. Used as a base to go to Nou Camp and Sagrada Familia, as well as close to Las Ramblas. Found great restaurant at top of Las Ramblas - did excellent shell fish - the paella was to die for!!

It is not often the description, surpasses the outcome.

“ Hotel was lovely and clean staff very friendly, would be even better with tea and coffee facilities in room. Easter weekend 2011 weather not great , Centre was very,very busy on saturday. Lovely bar two minutes away. If using bus from airport get off at university stop.

“ Top Tip: 10 mins to la Ramblas and main streets. staff in restaurants very helpful/friendly.
