“ This is a fantastic hotel but I did expect it to be close to La Rambla etc. than it is, however it is very close to the main train and bus station so this wasn't really a problem. The hotel staff are friendly but don't speak that much English so it would be useful if we had learnt some basic Spanish before we went . .
“ Top Tip: The best way to get around Barcelona is to book the bus tour at the bus station and go around on the open top buses. You can get on and off as much as you like :)

Facilities bit limited - no restaurant or tended bar, although complimentary wine was available in the lounge area each night.
Would stay there again.
“ Top Tip: Hotel is a good 20 minute walk from Ramblas - area is not an option for wining and dining.

The area is well-communicated with the underground and bus networks, and close to Sants railway station. Our hotel has the most modern facilities, which enables our guests to enjoy a high level of quality, comfort and service. The rooms are large and comfortable and decorated in wood in a minimalist style, with elegant bathrooms. Everything has been planned down to the last detail to ensure that your hotel in Barcelona is the Acevi Villarroel.

“ Have just returned from our third stay at this lovely hotel.Location is everything when staying in abig city and you can"t get better. A few mins walk from the aerobus bus stopin Plaza Catalunya , central to Passeig Gracia and the Ramblas. We were lucky to be given alovely room with a terrace with aview of Montjuic and lovely city views in the sunset.Staff helpful as always room veryclean.

The Pere IV is located in the Poble Nou District just 3 metro stops from the city centre and just 10 minutes walk from the lively Port Olimpic area which is renowned for being one of the liveliest areas in the city with its beaches, shopping centre, restaurants, cinemas and a whole range of other services. All 195 bedrooms are furnished in a classical style and are equipped with the latest facilities including a free of charge minibar serving soft drinks. The Pere IV also offers a fully equipped fitness area with gym, sauna and Jacuzzi as well as an indoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi access. The a la carte restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine and the hotel serves a daily buffet breakfast.
“ Breakfast was good, but if you come down later, around 9.45, there is a queue, as tables were cleared a bit slowly. Nice room and nice,friendly, helpful staff. Gym was very small with very limited equipment, but the sauna and jacuzzi were great!

The hotel is ideally situated for the harbour and the historic city centre as well as the shopping district. All the 276 bedrooms are equipped with television, telephone, hairdryer and minibar. “ Nice comfortable hotel with nice clean rooms, if a little on the small side. We had a room at the rear of the hotel, which was quiet. The rooms at the front, overlook the main road, which is very busy.
