Atenea Calabria Barcelona Apartments

“ The hotel was very basic but served the purpose of a 3 day stay in Barcelona. The room was clean, breakfast buffet was simple but fine. The only issue was when we had to leave early in the morning we didn't get our packed breakfast despite being reassured that we only need to inform them the day/night before.
The hotel is not as close to the center as we thought, but we walked every where, if you take a metro it's only 3 stops from the top of the Rambla.

“ Top Tip: Food market on Las Ramblas is a must.

“ very enjoyable 4 night stay - the hotel was quite full so was a little busy at breakfast but the staff were constaintly clearing tables and re-laying them so found a table almost straight away each morning - plenty of choice I was suprised to find bacon & scrambled eggs as well as all continental choice, several cakes + as much bread, toast & drinks as you liked.
Room cleaned daily & fresh towels left as you needed them. Reception staff very friendly & helpful

“ Top Tip: You can walk easily to several very resonable bars - We got a 3 day pass on the Metro found this both easy + quick + very clean

“ The Atenea Calabris is a lovely place to stay, within easy reach of all of Barcelona’s attractions; Public transport is nearby, e.g. The Metro, Buses, Taxis and trains.
The staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel has a warm friendly Atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and clean, as are the public areas of the Atenea.
We will definitely be visiting Barcelona again, and staying at Atenea Calabria.

“ Top Tip: Yes many nice cafes and resturants, patiserias bars, so many good places.

“ My husband, myself and my 2 children (9 & 13) stayed here for 1 night on 17th August for the Barcelona V Real Madrid football match. The hotel is between the Nou Camp and Las Ramblas areas so we were able to walk to Las Ramblas from the hotel for a bit of sight seeing. We used the Metro system to get around as it is easy to use and a very good mode of transport. The hotel is close to a Metro station. The noise levels however are quite high as it is situated on a busy main street. Our apartment overlooked the main street, but we were there only for the 1 night and were late getting back to the hotel due to the late kick off of the match itself. The Reception staff are very polite, professional and helped us with finding Metro stations, ordering taxis, marking out maps for us, etc. Our apartment also had a small kitchenette with a large supermarket right next door, so it was great to make a good cup of tea, etc and there was a fridge for drinks etc. The apartment was roomy for the 4 of us, but my husband found his bed a bit uncomfortable. There are lots of little cafes and restaurants nearby.
