“ It was close to a lot of restaurants, bars, and about 15-20 minute walk from the Ramblas and La Pedrera.
Although upon arrival the receptionist was having a full blown argument with a man in the street and seemed fairly worked up, the remainder of the time the staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating.
I had asked for a double bed room, but got put up in a room with 2 beds. When I asked, they did point out the double bed rooms were smaller. Not only that, they actually took me to one to show me the size and gave me the choice.
In the end, I chose the bigger room with two beds, because it also had a balcony onto the street, which was really nice in the morning.
The only reason I say it would perhaps not be so suitable for families is that the bathroom seems to have a lot of glass surfaces, and it could be an accident waiting to happen for kids. Also, the rooms and the hotel itself do not enjoy that much space, therefore it would be rather cramped for a family.

“ Top Tip: There were two restaurants really close by that were to die for. One was the Argentinian (good value for money) restaurant 'Puerto Madero', on Calle Paris, a mere 10 minute walk. The other was the restaurant 'Antigua', which was 5-10 minutes away, and had fabulous food (slightly more dear).
This hotel does not have any metro nearby, although if you like walking you get to see fantastic parts of Barcelona, and for young people it's great because it's got some good trendy bars, like Carfe Berlin very close by
