Very nice hotel.
Positives: quiet, clean, great views, very close to bus stop, reasonably close to metro.
Negatives: No swimming pool, restaurant wasn't very good.

“ Brilliant location of you want to be near beach. There is a local bus that regularly goes into La Ramblas where you can find restaurants, bars etc. Very modern decor with friendly staff.

We was very happy with a room suitable bed, beautiful bathroom. Excellent room service. Surrounding was lovely near the beach. Only 20 min to the centre buy bus.10min walk to the Tube, load lovely caffe around hotel. Defenly will take same hotel we will go again to Barcelona

“ For the price paid, we were expecting a lot more. Location is great - about a 20 minute walk down the (at points, nude) beach to the city, which was fun. Comfortable bed and great shower. Room decor left a lot to be desired. Some of the front desk staff were absolutely outstanding, and others seemed to not really care about their job or about helping guests (such as the evening we called three times to request 2 wine glasses to be brought up, and after being told on the third time to be more patient, the wine glasses never turned up). If you can get a bargain on this hotel for less than EUR100, then go for it. Otherwise, might be wise to look elsewhere.

Facilities at the Rafael Hotel Diagonal Port include a buffet breakfast, cafe or guests can choose to dine in the hotels ‘Alcacena’ restaurant which offers a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine.

The Barcelona Princess Hotel is an amazing design tower constructed in 2004 and located in the new area of Barcelona called Forum. Facing the beach and only 5 minutes by taxi along a direct road to the centre of Barcelona and its many shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel bedrooms are well equipped with modern amenities and facilities including air conditioning. Hotel facilities include a bar and restaurant and leisure facilities include sauna, solarium, swimming pools and Jacuzzi.

The Grupotel Gravina is located in a quiet street just 200 metres from Plaza Catalunya in the centre of Barcelona. The hotel has been fully restored in 2006. It is a 19th century building with a facade of striking architecture. The hotel offers a restaurant, a bar, free internet corner and WiFi connection, welcome drink, facilities in room and air conditioning.
“ A free kettle in the room would have been nice but not essential. Breakfast,both meal and welcome, were excellent. The complimentary glass of wine on arrival is a nice touch and the reception staff were lovely. Quiet hotel in an excellent position for the city centre but the view (at the back) left a bit to be desired.

All rooms are air conditioned as well as television and telephone. A perfect place from which to explore the vibrancy of the Ramblas with its exciting bars and restaurants.
“ The Atenea Calabris is a lovely place to stay, within easy reach of all of Barcelona’s attractions; Public transport is nearby, e.g. The Metro, Buses, Taxis and trains. The staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel has a warm friendly Atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and clean, as are the public areas of the Atenea.
