Catalonia Barcelona Plaza

“ We found this hotel perfect for our break. The metro is just outside the front door of the hotel and provided easy access to Barcelona. The hotel gave us a room at the front of the hotel, as we had requested, it was huge to our delight. Breakfast was buffet style, great choice of food, hot and cold, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Placa Espayna is a busy intersection and can have a lot of traffic noise but it was not a problem at night. The pool on the roof is unheated but a touch of luxury as it affords good views over the square and Montjuce. For smokers there was an indoor bar where smoking was allowed. It had a restaurant on the premises which was full of Americans, we prefered to wander into Catalunya Square for a better choice of restaurants, but had our night cap at the hotel. We booked this hotel blind as there was only one comment on it. it was better than our expectations and we would stay here again.

“ Top Tip: The Musical Fountains were just across the square. Close to the Olympic Stadium.
