Wasnt expecting too much and I was right. This is an Hotel that seemed to cater for retired Spanish people. No problem with that though one man on the Desk did not speak much English. I was probably the only Brit there . I enjoyed the Food, but then I use Olive Oil a lot at home.
Not having any sort of Garden didnt help. When it rained I wanted to read in my Bedroom , but found because of the lack of daylight in my room I had to have the light on. Big plus however it is very near the Beach and Restaurants ect.
The funishings were basic Metal Chairs in both the Eating Room ( In the Basement ) and in the Lounge .
Not really a home from home for UK visitors but as I say it did the job.
“ Top Tip: A guy just up the street has a friendly welcome. Sit in the Sun when out .On the same side as the Hotel opposite a Shoeshop called "Montys " The man is French and as I say very good.

“ The hotel was refufbished since my last stay [ about 3 years ago] It is looking great now everything is perfect. The room was serviced every day. There are flat screen TV`s and telephone in all rooms. The food was OK.and the staff friendly.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is right in the middle of the Old Town Plenty of bars cafe`s @ a LOT of tapas bars very close. English bars near by include--Sherrys --O`maras @ a new one called The Bluebell [ used to be Jeff @ Dots ] which is excellent.

We had looked at this hotel prior to booking but dismissed as it did not have a pool and decided to book Centrol Playa Hotel just yards away.
Two days prior we were informed the Hotel booked was opening later in the season and we had been changed to this one.
When we checked in everyone was very friendly we were give the room card and off we went. The room was on the top floor at the front with a view of the sea and great view of the old town. Two single beds new furniture and the beds were very comfortable, the pillows were however very very flat and had to be folded in half to get any support. Plenty or wardrobe space the bathroom was very big and the balcony was huge much bigger than ones one floors one to five.
The hotel was in a great location very close to the beach 2 min walk if that, street cafe bars and restaurants on the doorstep the was one round the corner to the right was packed every night with the locals.
In a pedestrian zone there was no traffic and we had no outside noise however it was out of season and most of the people in the resort were hardly revlers if you know what i mean!.
The food was very spanish breakfast with the exeption of one morning was pastries, fruit bread and butter selection of teas juice and coffees we did have bacon, egg and beans one day. Dinner there was always fish, salad and chips often chicken dishes and pastas and the added bonus was bottled water or wine FOC everynight at dinner.
Great hotel worth a try
“ Top Tip: Ask for a room 6th or 7th floor facing the sea balconies are much much bigger that floors below.

“ We were very, very let down by this hotel. Granted it had recently been refurbished and was very clean but that was about the only good thing that could be said about it. We were there for two weeks, the first week there was a young musicians tuition conference going on with musicians from all over Europe taking part. They were practicing their instruments, in their rooms, most of the time and could easily be heard making an awfull noise which could be heard all over the hotel. During both weeks of our stay the scraping and draging of furniture on the hard tiled floors could be heard at most times of the day and night The noise and clatter of crockery and cutlery in the dining room, which can only described as a 'works canteen' was horifying, Plastic topped tables with cheap paper place mats. We were expected to clear away all our own used crockery etc from our table. The same very noisy conditions must be said of the so called caffeteria/bar. In the dining room and caffeteria the food was most dissapointing, mostly Spanish, yes I know we were in Spain but a little variation would have been good. We paid for half-board but after the first day or so we ate out at some of the very good bars and restaurants in the Old Town. The same very noisy conditions must be said of the so called caffeteria/bar. For roof-top sun bathing there were just 4 plastic sun loungers, two of them broken. The reception staffs and the maids were very helpful and friendly. Our towels were changed almost every day. However, sadly we would never stay at this hotel again.
“ Top Tip: Sherry's Bar and restaurant, owned and run by Carole & Jeff in the Old Town Church square - excellent in every respect
