“ I wouldn`t give the Avenida a 4 star rating, the room had quite a few ants by the patio and bathroom. (sprayed mozzie spray to problem area`s, less ants about after that). The balcony was huge as was the room .... which was just under the swimming pool. Around the pool was over loaded with sun beds, the lower sunbathing area was less cramped, but all in all an enjoyable stay. dining room nice, bar also nice. The hotel is in a perfect position to old and new town, you can never get lost. Yes I would stay at the Avenida again. My only concern was the amount of older people having to help them selves to the meals! I wanted to help them!!! Wouldn`t it be safer to offer waiting service for a small charge to the elderly, who like there holidays but are a bit slow and shakey on there legs. Not long off retirement myself, but would love to have a choice of that service

LOCATION WISE , THIS HOTEL IS PERFECT IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE HEART OF THE OLD TOWN WITH ALL IT HAS TO OFFER QUITE LITERALLY ON YOUR DOORSTEP AND ITS A TWO MINUTE WALK TO BEACH AT MOST. CAN BE NOISY BUT THE ROOFTOP POOL AND SOLARIUM ARE LOVELY AND QUIET WITH A GREAT VIEW OF THE BEACH AND ROOFTOPS OF OLD TOWN AND BEYOND. ROOMS TO REAR OF HOTEL LOOK ONTO A BOTTLE BANK ON STREET WHICH CAN BE TORTURE AT NIGHT IF TRYING TO SLEEP BUT EVENTUALLY GET USED TO IT. ENTERTAINMENT IN VERY LOW KEY AS 99% OF HOTEL GUESTS ARE OAPs. WE WERE ALL INCLUSIVE AND THE FOOD WAS IN MY OPINION BETTER THAN USUAL A.I. FARE. AND ONLY BRANDED SPIRITS ARE SERVED AT BOTH THE POOL AND MAIN BARS WHICH IS A BONUS IF YOU ENJOY A TIPPLE.
SERVICE WAS OVERALL GOOD, AS WAS THE CLEANLINESS OF HOTEL, ALTHOUGH ROOMS ARE BASIC IF NOT EVEN A BIT DRAB. YOU COULD DO A LOT WORSE!
“ Top Tip: ALL THE BEST BARS AND RESTAURANTS OF THE OLD TOWN ARE A STONE THROUGH AWAY. GREAT SHOPPING IN THE IMEDIATE AREA TOO.

You need to make sure you have a room with a balcony,as some of the rooms look out onto to the rear of a local block of apartments which is not pleasant to view
very good hotel right in the middle of the old town , will stay again in the future
“ Top Tip: so many good venues close at hand

“ lovely hotel! Staff very friendly! Already planing to go back there next time! Hotel next to beach and shops! Near night life but not on doorstep never heard any noise from bars and clubs and slept with our patio doors open! Just morning traffic heard in morning so we then closed doors if wanted to sleep longer!
“ Top Tip: Lovely cafe bars on sea front! A must is benidorm palace! Excellent value! 4 course meal fabulous wine and entertainment will go back next time single old or family night out for all!
