This historical hotel is housed in a castle palace belonging, in its day, to the Counts of Oropesa and the Lords of Jarandilla. It was built at the end of the 16th Century and offers all the comforts of a quality hotel. The hotel was named after the emperor that lived in the old castle- palace that is the parador today. The building conserves its original walls and drawbridge. The two storey building centres around the splendid couryard adorned with old coats of arms. The front section of the patio has a cloister on one side and some large windows cut out of stone on the other. Recently redecorated rooms which provides an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The Italian inspired style of the palace-fortresses of the age was used in the castle's design, accounting for its quadrangular shape. The Parador is located in the center of Jarandilla de la Vera.
