“ Disappointed that the hotel's restaurant was/did not provide a decent evening meal

“ Excellent hotel of traditional rustic style with great character. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast. Would highly recommend. The hotel would not suit children or youngsters, too traditional and lacking in facilities for this age group.

“ Top Tip: Hotel is situated within walking distance of great beaches and excellent choice of restaurants, great for both seafood and meat lovers! Fantastic coastline with many small sandy coves,with some great surf. Close to the Picos de Europa mountain range, stunning scenary. However, remember this is green Spain, so expect a varied climate and not the intense heat of the south. It also helps if you have basic Spanish, not a great deal of English spoken.

“ THis was a lovely place to stay,very well presented with friendly staff.Breakfast was enough to feed my strapping sons!! It represented great value for money.It suited our requirements perfectly as we were travelling along the north coast,we had a car and you would really need one to stay here.The centre is a good walk although there is a shortcut to the beach.

“ I loved staying at Cuevas Iii Hotel - It reminded me of the Paradores Hotel - Very Clean and in immaculate condition. I was dissapointed in the evening buffet meal - The buffet was served between 9 - 10pm - A little late for me - but when in Rome......... I would definately stay there again - In and around Suances/Santander etc is really nice.
