The historical premises, dating from 1857 and built in the typical Cerdoban style was converted into a hotel in 2005. It has a total of 12 guestrooms spread over 2 floors of which 1 is wheelchair accessible. In addition, air conditioning, a lobby area, a lift, a cafe and a restaurant are available. I booked this hotel based on the glorious reviews given before. I admit it looks the part, a fully updated small hotel over a taverna in the historic back streets. So if you just want to look at it, then it's great, but if you want to sleep in it, then forget it.
There was the sound of the large recycle containers of glass and rubbish being tipped in to the truck at 2:30 and 3:30 right outside the hotel. This was blended in to the constant coming and going of guests, the final ones arriving back at 4:30. As this is a small hotel with no manned reception, this resulted in the Spanish ladies banging on the hotel door several doors to be let in, before clacking their heels up the tiled stairs and corridoor., Banging doors and further clacking of heels as they walked around there room with plenty of loud voices. So unless you are equally a night owl person, this may not be the place for you.

“ The hotel had great atmosphere and was very characteristic of the local architechture. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would recommend it as a great place to stay. The location was brilliant for walking to all the major parts of Cordoba.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is next door to the Archaeological museum which is very imaginative and well worth a visit. There is a cafe right outside its entrance which does good tapas.

This air-conditioned hostel comprises a total of 59 rooms spread over 3 floors. There is an impressive foyer with a 24-hour reception desk offered to hotel guests. It is a family run property which maintains a very good service. All bedrooms are very clean and comfortable, with tiled bathrooms. Hostal is at just few minutes walking distance from the Mezquita making it an ideal starting point to visit this charming town.

This charming hotel is spread over 3 floors and comprises 26 rooms, of which 9 are apartments/ studios. On entering the hotel, guests will arrive in the lobby area offering 24-hour reception service with a safe and a lift. An air-conditioned restaurant is available within the hotel and three typical Andalusian style patios invite guests to wile away the hours. Those arriving by car may opt to park in the car park or garage and a bike storage facility is also on offer. Medical assistance is available on request.
“ Excellent location for visiting the Mesquita and plenty of eating places nearby. Rooms clean andthe staff very friendly, also nice decor around the hotel. Slghtly strange arrangement for breakfast, as had to walk up the road 50yds or so to the Hostal Maestre. Breakfast a bit basic, but tortilla and bacon good and staff very friendly. Excellent value for money.
