Marinada

“ My wife and I were on a short winter break, we did not know the local area and we did not wish to spend too much.
The Marinada a family run hotel was quiet, welcoming and the food was excellent. We stayed half-board for 6 nights. Fish is served on alternate days; No menu. We were served continental breakfasts and four course evening meals including wine, water and coffees all included in the price.

If you want to relax; Cambrils is a great place to soak up the sun and eat fish.
Visiting other towns and cities requires planning especially if you wish to use public transports.

Barcelona is about 65 miles away and takes one and half hours on the slow train (19 Euros) you can buy your tickets on the train. When to Barcelona, get a 'T10' travel card (10 Euros) it allows you 10 trips on the buses and metro.

“ Top Tip: Car hire is a must if you want to get around quickly. Small car 29 Euros a day.
Harbour, beach and restaurants 10 minutes walk.
The bus and train station are less than 5 minutes walk a way.
Night life can be found in the next town "Salou"; 4 minutes away by train.
Reus and Tarragona have historical sites, shops and restaurants. 15 minutes away using public transport.

“ Top Tip: With the railway station so close by, a trip to Barcelona is simple as is acess to the entire Costa Daurada..

“ I was made warmly welcome by the friendly hotelier. The hotel is an easy 15 to 20 minute walk from the sea front and the many central restaurants. My room was very clean and perfectly adequate for a short stay. My half-board package was very good value for money. I'd be happy to stay again.
