“ Lovely clean hotel may be a little faded around the edges but nice rooms one we stayed in has seperate shower and full bath plus lovely staff - the pool is a little small considering the amount of people staying there and the ever problem of 'sunbed' to people ratio however, 5 mins and you can walk to the beach!.

Entertainment was mainly for older people again. Half board or Bed & Breakfast would be all that you require. On that score the breakfasts had wonderful choice from full cooked, continental, fresh fruit and various cakes, however some of the evening meals were for those with more varied or european taste and included octupus, mussles, plus meatballs in crab/fish sauce combo, cooked rabbit but there was a choice of salad for the more faint hearted.
“ Top Tip: We had a mixed tapas sharing platter at the Down Town which opened on to the beach and opened up onto one of the main streets was absolutely lovely as it is just a bar staff were great - further down the same street was another bar/bistro where you chose your fresh meat or skewer and had it flame grilled - little more expensive but well worth the extra. Famous Porcus houses selling cured hams and lovely wines. Callella itself is great for young and old what ever your passion and safe pedestrian streets formed around the church as most towns in Spain and South of France. Callella has lots of resturaunts with lots of choice of food and shaded play areas for children on the beach easy access. Nice shopping areas to browse around and wonderfull icecream parlours with fresh fruit and cake shops selling gatteaux and danish type pasteries. Clothes for the younger generation .... however this is Callella and not Monaco fashion.

“ Hotel was very clean and the stuff were really friendly. Very close to the beach and easy to get to train station and shops. Food was very traditional but over all good, although not much for younger children. I would say the hotel and probably location was not suitable for families especially with younger children as there was no entertainment for them and apart from beach not much for them to do. Saying that my 2 year old still enjoyed herself

“ Hotel okay, bar and restaurant staff a disgrace, more concerned with the Spanish clients rather than any other foreign nationals.

“ The hotel is ok don't think it is worth a 4 star because of the food which is not good at all, there is nothing to do there if you take children. The rooms are clean and maids clean every day,the walls are paper thin so you might as well be in the same room as your neighbours , the staff are a bit miserable apart from one waiter and the concierge in the restaurant and a very nice man called Kim on reception when we arrived and when we were leaving. The entertainment is rubbish only catered for the Spanish. The food also only catered for the Spanish not much for English and hardly anything for children. The hotel itself as nice decor resembles the titanic the food really lets this hotel down.
“ Top Tip: There is a train station about 20 mins walk away where you can visit other towns and barcelona, the beach is only 2 mins walk away and shops are a short distance away.
