Considering the price we paid for a cheapo long weekend away we were really impressed with what we got. Thgere were not many people in the hotel and the resort was quiet so we had all the facilities to mourselves and no noise anywhere.
We had a third floor pool facing room, did not have the large balcony of the fourth floor rooms but inside exactly the same. Rooms very clean and maid sercice every day. Only real complaint was the satellite TV, only CNN for English speakers. Buffet not operating I suppose due to lack of guests, however a la cart'e breakfast menu at about 5 Euros for a cooked breakfast was on the expensive side. Better pop to the supermarket opposite and get some fresh bread, coffee, juice and chees.
Overall very impressed for the price that we paid.
“ Top Tip: Calella was very disappointing, fortunate we were only there for a few days, very limited restaurants and not much to see or do in the surroundings.

“ apartments very clean good maid service. great location, right in the old town
“ Top Tip: just ask at the reception, they are very helpful. If you walk to the end of the beach there are stairs that take you to the main road and it is a lovely walk and great views.

The hotel itself was exactly as described and we were very happy with the room and the staff.
Not so good points was that the swimming pool was absolutely freezing! Not sure if its because we went out of season and heaters were turned off (still no excuse) but did spoil our holiday a bit as our 2 year old daughter would not get in it as it was so cold. Also there were no sun shades around the pool at all which meant having to move around to get shade throughout the day.
Also not much was explained to us on arrival, ie. that we needed to take our own bins out everyday, our coach details would be displayed on the back wall, when rooms would be cleaned.
However, as first said, the hotel itself was great, the staff really friendly and if we were to ever go back to Costa Brava then would book the hotel again. Great value for money.

Very nice apartments, good value for money, although a little basic. Kitchens have a kettle and toaster, but no iron or microwave. Clean towels daily, room cleaned and linen changed every four or five days. Apartment had air conditioning that was free, and that worked beautifully. Friendly and helpful staff (especially Flemin, who went out of his way to make me feel welcome.)
Pool was large and clean (if rather cold) and has many sunbeds. I visited in late September/early October, and the sun had left the pool area by about 5pm, so go to the beach if you want to sunbathe into the early evening, when it is cooler. Note that the beach can only be reached by crossing railway line - turn left at the station and use the underground tunnel. If you turn right you have to cross over the rail line itself, then walk past the cemetery!
Hotel has a good location in the old part of town, with the railway station right at the bottom of the street. Excellent train service along the coast, about 7 euros return to Barcelona in about an hour. Can also reach other resorts along the coastal strip and also Gerona, with one change.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good standard of self-catering in Calella at a reasonable price.
“
Top Tip:
Ask for a room with a pool view (other side of hotel overlooks the street, and can be noisy). 4th floor is best as it has sun terraces instead of balconies.
To reach the beach, turn left at the railway station at the bottom of the street and use the underground tunnel near the children's playground. If you turn right you have to cross over the rail line itself, then walk past the cemetery!

“ Hotel was clean, and the staff helpful, but it was noisy at night with people slamming doors and dragging furniture about! Also, the plumbing was very noisy. A good mile walk to the nearest bar, but just 5 minutes to the beach and station.
