Maripins Hotel

“ No complaints whatsoever.

“ The Maripins Hotel is an excellent base for a great holiday. It is modern, has good facilities and is very close to all amenities. I went with my Son, his Wife and 2 Grandchildren aged 9yrs and 6yrs old. They all slept in the 1 room but it was more than big enough to accommodate them comfortably. It had 4 beds, plenty of storage and a large seperate bathroom with 'foot bath'; both bathroom and bedroom had access to the large balcony through patio doors. Very good room for a family. Mine on the other hand was a small room. It had a double bed, plenty of storage, seperate bathroom and balcony. Ok for me on my own but in my oppinion not enough room for a couple. Towels changed, whole room cleaned and fresh bathroom essentials provided daily. Room to room and reception dial phones in all rooms, very useful. The cleaning staff work very hard to keep this hotel up to par and they do a very good job; reception staff very helpful and always smiling no matter what time of day or night you need their help. Would put this hotel on my list of 'come back to' without hesitation.
As a seasoned traveller I would suggest that the food is given a review from time to time. Although its good and there is plenty of it, it just lacks that little something that makes it special. I understand it must be quite a chore to try to cater for all nationalities and they did do very well with their choices but could do better. Wouldnt let that put me off going there again.
If you are looking for a great hotel with helpful staff and close to the beach this would be a good choice.

“ Top Tip: The train to Barcelona runs every half an hour, the station is only a short walk from the hotel. There are several markets along the route that you can stop off at. We found some good English Pubs close to the hotel; The Swan (turn left out of the hotel and walk down to the roundabout, straight on and its on the left hand side) which is run by a little Scotish Guy; has some good food and banter. The Vic on the roundabout does an enormous english breakfast, didnt try it as we were half baord and had already eaten but as we called in one day for a drink they were just bringing 2 plates full out to customers. Looked great, fried bread and everything. There is also a fabulous place to eat (if only I had written the name down) turn right out of the hotel and walk towards Santa Susanah( or you could catch the 'little train' that goes by the hotel); it the first big one you come to with a picture of 'Clown' on the Menu board outside; it has a little waterfall feature outside and overlooks a large hotel. The staff there are just fab, friendly, happy and helpful. The food there was the best we have eaten. Very well presented, fresh and served with a smile. The children's menu had lots of healthy meals to choose from and so well presented.

“ Had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking pool area.
it was very noisey. actually requested a move after 4 days - no joy
there are quieter rooms out the back though.
entertainment every night, [had a balcony view of it.]
food was o.k. allways found something we could eat.
hotel was very clean.
all in all would stay there again if i had a quieter room.
