Tropic Park Hotel

“ A Hotel thats in great need of a make over! Entrance way reception good bright and clean. Very helpful staff on the desk. That's the good points. The rooms are very small with old decoration. The paint scheme is a sludge apricot- thats makes the whole room feel tired. The bathroom was Ok but very old, broken wall tiles and mould growing in the bathroom sealant. Marble tiles throughout the apartment which my little 2 year old slipped on all the time. Patio window frames which wobbled when moved. Very noisey Friday and saturday nights - we were facing the pool, so what the rooms on the main street had to put up with is beyond me! The Food. Well what can I say........ Nothing you couldn't call it food, Not even the breakfast. We book half board and ate out every breakfast and dinner. Malgrat it's self is Ok but if you are thinking about this place,, forget it. Stay at Santa Susanna 10 mins walk- it's loverly with great 3* hotels that should be proper 4* hotels. Hope my little review helps you.

“ Great hotel. A slight disappointment for me as a non smoker that they allow smoking on the balconies which forced my wife and I inside and had to close balcony doors. Also could do with some english speaking television (it is 4 star)

“ this was not our original choice but we were happy with the accomadation ,the food was fair but we were not offered a breakfast on our departure as they could not let us into the dinning room 5 mins early to get a coffee before our transfer. t There was no entertainment as it was the last week of the season

“ Top Tip: beach across the road .Short walk to other beaches no sun beds as last week iof the season

“ The hotel was very clean but the rooms could be doing with a freshen up, there was air conditioning in the room but we couldn't get it to work probably had to pay for it but at that time of year we didn't need it, maid came in every day and changed and cleaned room. The reception staff were very nice and pleasant to speak to. The hotel is not suitable for families out of season as we went at end of september and there kids club was closed and one night they had a mini disco which only lasted 15mins and my kid was the only one there. The hotel had lots of older people staying and not anyone that spoke scottish. The outdoor pools looked great but the water was freezing the indoor pool was great was always empty when we went down. The breakfast was ok the staff were ok but could have put a smile on some of there faces. The bar in the hotel was cheap and the staff were lovely. There was no kettle to make tea or coffee in your room.

“ Top Tip: The shops all along the front are great lots of things to buy. The old town of malgrat de mar is lovely it's worth a look. We found a pub called legends great value for money the portions are huge, everyone very welcoming.
