“ The staff were very friendly, and there was a relaxed atmosphere. There is a lovely sandy beach approx 200 metres away, which has a Restaurant, but the main Palamos Bay is a 20 to 30 minute walk, depending how fit you are. A Taxi will cost between 10-15 Euro's. If you are going to watch the MIC Football Tournament at Palamos Stadium, (as was the purpose of my visit) it's more of a 30 minute walk from the Hotel, (but it's pretty much uphill on the way back!) I have to say that I would definitely stay at this Hotel again, even for a short break, as it surpassed my expectations, and noise was never an issue, (as a previous respondent stated.) The food was very good and for Dinner you ordered from a menue as opposed to buffet style. Girona Aiport is only 30 minute drive to the Hotel, and I would have no hesitations in recommending this Hotel.

The Hotel Ancora could not have been better. The staff where helpful giving the option of two different rooms to suit our needs best. It was clean and well run. There was a good selection of food at breakfast, with fresh fruit and a range of local, meat, cheese and bread available.
My mother who is quite disabled managed well as there was a lift to all levels.

Castell and La Fosca beach are lovely.
