Aparthotel Palamós

“ The apartment was OK - enough space and clean. We had a "superior" apartment which has a bigger and more comfortable balcony with better views. There were four of us and this was the right size for a comfortable holiday; any smaller and it would have been far too cramped. WIFI is available but not free; parking is on street, wherever you can get, we parked 5 mins walk away at the football stadium across the street from the supermarket. Lots of restaurants but not much entertainment, especially for young people. The pool is very nice.

“ Top Tip: The 'Old School' is a really friendly local pub with a heavy rock theme. It opens at 10:30 every evening.

“ We have just returned from an early October break at the above and were so delighted with our holiday. When we arrived we were informed that the hotel was being refurbished and we were offered one of the apartments that had been completed and it was fantastic. It was brand new with full kitchen with oven and electronic hob, fridge and freezer. Kitchen items for SC were adequate although no sharp knife or cork screw. There was a table and chairs for six, two brand new bathrooms with shower, new towels and lots of hot water. Two bedrooms one with a double and one with twin beds. TV, DVD and a sofa also in the main room. The location is ideal for the beach, supermarkets, centre of town and local indoor market for all your food needs. The bus service is also close giving access to Girona and Barcelona on direct routes as well as other coastal resorts. Very relaxing resort but not a great deal for active teenagers. The hotel does have a pool, again being refurbished but did not use. We didn't see any hotel staff whilst we were there which suited us fine. Got clean towels once in the thirteen days we were there but no clean sheets, bin emptying etc. which again for us not a problem as there are so many street bins. Fantastic value for money. Outdoor seating was also provided with patio table and chairs.

“ Top Tip: Walking on the beach and sea front is such a pleasure and you can walk for miles or just sit and watch the world go by - lots of sets to just sit and relax.

“ Top Tip: Everything within strolling distance. Beach is within 8 iron distance. And you're in a real town.

“ This is the fourth time that I have stayed here. It is still definitely the cheapest accommodation of its type with the facilities on offer but this year, there was a reduction of service. They have obviously cut back on staff. We had to pester for linen change and towel change and beg for toilet rolls. However, that has not put me off. The price is right, the location perfect and just about all the facilities you need.

A new shop has opened on the corner of the building which is in effect a China Products, for those of you who know the outlet . The supermarket next to the football stadium is 5 minutes walk and is the best in the district equaling UK. It opens at 0900.
