Merce is a family hotel located in a typical Mediterranean beach village near Barcelona and Girona airports.
Accommodation
The rooms are equipped with satellite TV and shower and have views to the town old centre, the gothic church and the coast mountains or an interior nice decorated patio.
Food & Beverage
The main restaurant at the hotel offers international and regional cuisine elaborated with products selected from the hotels own kitchen-garden. English breakfast and meals are served buffet style. The hotel also provides an à la carte restaurant specialized in catalan and mediterranean cuisine and grilled meats. For drinks and light snacks guests can visit the pool bar and the indoors bar.
Sports & Leisure
The hotel has swimming pool, solarium, clay tennis (extra charge) and play room with billiards and table tennis. Within the hotels beach village several activities are offered to the guests: bikes, canoes, pedal-boats, aerobic, beach-volley, children entertainment, etc. Moreover, during the high season the hotel provides a busy night entertainment program that includes flamenco show, life music with a Latin American band, piano-life music and saxo-jazz show, cabaret show and belly dancing.

Pineda de Mar is a typical Mediterranean beach village out of the massive tourist circuits. It is characterized for having the longest beach of the area and has a lot of squares and terraces with bars and coffees, where visitors can enjoy a drink relaxing themselves. Moreover it has a busy day life and many options for shopping. Those interested in clubbing may visit the surrounding villages where there is a wide offer of pubs and discos. The hotel is located 450 metres to the beach and the rail station.

Yes the rooms are small and basic, but they are kept spotlessly clean. All the meals are served as a buffet, there is plenty to choose from, again it good basic food, if you want gourmet, then pay more and go stay at a five star hotel. Staff went out of there way to find me a small heater to take the chill off my room at night. There was plenty of advice from reception staff on places to visit and how to get there, with free maps provided. The hotel is idealy situated as a base from which to explore Pineda and the surrounding aera, Barcelona, Blanes, Malgret are all a short train journey away and Santa Susanna & Calella are within walking distance. The station is on the beach approx 10 mins from hotel. The roof terrace give you a great vista over the whole town. I travelled solo ans was made to feel very welcome. I will certainly be returning to this hotel in the near future.
“ Top Tip: There is a great little restaurant on the beach next to the station Le Picades. A trip to Blanes is a good way to spend a day, plenty to see. I reccomend you visit Jardi Botanic Mar i Murtra while you are there, take the botanical bus from outside the tourist information booth as it is a long walk up a very steep hill, walking back is easier. Booking with Travel Republic was quick and easy, I couldn't be happier.

“ Staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms basic, but ok & cleaned daily, didn't need more. Food ok, plenty of choice, not always hot, but microwave was there if needed. Ten mins walk to lovely clean beach, could walk for miles either way. Lots of shops, cafe & bars. Hotel is 20 mins walk from Montnegre Natural Parc, lovely scenery. Barcelona 1hour on the train 8 euros, bargin. Would go back again.

“ Nice hotel in a quieter area of Pineda de Mar, which had a more of traditional feel than a "touristy" feel. All staff were pleasant and friendly. Check-in was quick and simple. The roof-top pool was really nice and an idea area for relaxing.
