“ Having read previous reviews a few days before leaving the UK we were a bit dubious about this hotel, but we needn't have worried. The hotel itself is family run and the main areas (such as reception) were clean and tidy. The restaurant was fine. Food was of an acceptable standard and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was nice having an assigned table for all our meals, rather than having to move around. The pool and bar area were clean and tidy. The gardens are well kept and there's a reasonable children's play area. The accomodation was fine. We had a one bedroomed apartment in a seperate block across the road from the hotel. Initially we were concerned about not having a balcony, but the cooking facilities proved very helpful in helping us holiday on a tight budget. The rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel generally caters for French and Spanish tourists, but as British tourists we were made to feel welcome and all the staff spoke at least some English. The beach is 5 minutes walk away, nearest supermarket about 10 minutes away. The resort is quite small, but we had enough to fill our 11 days with. All in all I would recommend this hotel to all, especially those on a budget or who want to feel like they have been abroad for their holiday not surrounded by English people!
“
Top Tip:
Take the train to Barcelona from the Pineda station (about 15 mins walk from the hotel). 7 euros return, takes about an hour but follows the coastline all the way, worth the journey itself.
Use the local fruit and veg shops, the produce is so much cheaper and better than the supermarkets!

“ having read previous comments was a bit dubious. but having 4 young kids I would have to say that as a family run hotel it was well done with all the dailyrun hotel kids club and the evening entertainment was good and finished approx midnight so no loud noises late. The beach was approx 400m walk and well worth it top notch. we upgraded to full board which was very reasonable financially we found to be a bot samey but reasonable. the only down side was that we were located in the opposite building which has no balcony or view and in the lounge area no where to sit. on the whole great holiday for reasonable money

“ hello ive been to this hotel for the eighth time ,it might not be a new hotel very sixties, decor not to good but ive never seen trouble like you get at some cheap all inclusive places. food well a lot of people moan its not english bacon or cod or proper chips but its not english your in spain. there is something for everybody to eat entertainment kiddies is not to bad could be better, adult the same but on certain nights you have flemenco dances, a really good a singer sonny roeder, he is dutch but sings in english im 40 ish and he sings really foot tapping songs great. pool old i would reccomend kiddies to wear those jelly sandels. plenty sun lounges around pool there is a number of pubs and eateries around there is a bit noise on a night transfer buses and occasional trucks at the truck stop nearby . the best bit is with it been small you get to know most people so you can have a cracking nite . the bar staff i have found really friendly and happy not much queing for drinks, the reception staff domenique lola and kumar are also great . they speak decent english hope this helps
“ Top Tip: train to barcelona nearby very cheap to travel.as you can drink in any htop hotel free if you are all inclusive this is a bonus the shops in calella is a womens dream the beach is great but children beware very steep straight away

“
The hotel is an average 3* Spanish hotel. No more, no less. I certainly feel that for what I paid (GBP96 for a week's half board) I got excellent value for money. Food (buffet service) was okay, but not brilliant (having said that, I only paid a six pound supplement over Bed and Breakfast for a week's half-board, so all considered it was brilliant...)
Only, slight, problem was that most guests were on all-inclusive deals, so there was often a long queue at the bar and little incentive for the hotel to serve people more quickly... and that some people and unlimited alcohol are a bad combination...
“ Top Tip: Pineda is a small, quiet resort, probably best for families with young children. The beach is good, as are transport links to Barcelona (60-70 mins, EUR6.40 return) and the airport (90 mins. EUR3.20 each way, one change in Barcelona Sants station). I think that anyone looking for a lively resort with plenty of nightlife would be much happier in Calella or Lloret.
