We chose the hotel because we'd read it was quiet and peaceful. The room we were
given was smaller that we would have liked, but we go what we paid for. However, the guests in the rooms on either side were noisy until the early hours of the hotel. We did complain to the hotel but they did not do anything and they refused to move us to another room saying that the hotel was full, which was not the case - in fact is was probably not even half full. However, the rooms either side of us were vacated within a few days and the noise ceased.
We then had a problem with our shower door falling off but it was replaced very quickly.
Lastly, we had really bad weather whilst we were there and would have stayed in the hotel bar if it had only been open!!
