“ We first went to this hotel in Sept 2010 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return 2011 and have just come back after a most enjoyable 2 weeks. The hotel is very well positioned on the beach front with good outdoor seating area and pool. It is near good restaurants and bars and 25 minute walk from the centre of Roses which also offers many restaurants and bars. All in all very satisfied and will return.

“ Good value hotel with a great location - immediate access to the attractive promenade and beach from the hotel gardens. Excellent sea views from front of the hotel - reasonable additional chrge for this but all rooms above first floor seem to have adecent (side) sea view. We had booked half board and although the evening buffet offered a varied choice and decent quality food we found the requirement to sit at the same table each evening (and two sittings) a bit restrictive. The hotel/resort is close to the French border and (almost inevitably) after the local Catalan and Castilian (Spanish) languages, French is clearly the most widely used language in the resort - and amongst the hotel staff. If you have basic Spanish, or French you should be able to get by - as we did - but if you don't it's probably wiser to stick to the parts of the Costa Brava from Tossa de Mar south - pity as you'll miss a lovely resort/part of the country.
“ Top Tip: Take a boat trip - pick up only 150m from hotel - to Cadaques, and/or Estartit - two contrasting but attractive resorts across the bay.
