Sant Marc Hotel

“ Sant Marc is a modern red brick hotel about 500 meteres from the beach although situated adjacent to the canals. Very clean with excellent staff. Meal choices are limited and can be a bit boring. There are plenty of good restauants in the area if you are on a bed and breakfast basis. We were on a cycling holiday and were able to keep the bikes in a hotel owned, locked garage across the road.

“ Top Tip: Lunch time, go for the Menu De Dia at restaurants. Varying from 9 to 14 Euros and includes 3 courses and a drink. Be prepared to tak e 11/2 to 2 hours over lunch.

“ No problems, hotel clean and so was the restaurant. Food was good, especially salads, more Spanish-type or local dishes would be appreciated. Wine fine and water appreciated.

Tea making facilities in room would be appreciated, also improved tea making in restaurant. Very rarely get good tea in Spain though.

“ Top Tip: We found the local bus that went passed the hotel into the centre of Roses on the last day!

“ Top Tip: You can use the facilities at the Victoria hotel which is right on the beach front. bars shops and supermarkets all nearby

“ The hotel was was good, the bedrooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very welcoming and considerate. The restaurant staff were particularly considerate towards one member of the party who was 88 years old and has coeliac disease, every evening they cooked a main course especially for her and were always around to advise on apropriate food choices at the buffet.
