Los Pinos Hotel

“ Hotel was located right by beach with excellent veiws from our room,pubs and clubs within 5 mins walking distance.staff were very friendly and helpful.the food was basic but you could all ways find something to eat.rooms were clean and cleaned every day.would go back and stay again.

“ The Los Pinos requires some refurbishment, having said that the bedrooms are large with comfy beds, large balcony with a sea view. The dining room is small but the food was good, with a choice at all meal times, the food was put out in small amounts so there was never food standing for any great length of time. Staff pleasant. The pool area is small, but clean and tidy, perhaps more sun beds would be a useful addition, there is plenty of seating both by the pool and the terrace. We feel the hotel is good for a break in the sun, we had an enjoyable time

“ Top Tip: The train going from Barcelona to Blanes is worth investigating. A walk to Malgrat and the catch the train back to Santa Susana nice for an evening.

“ Hotel location was fantastic, right on the beach. Pool is quite small, not many subeds, but always managed to get one (in september). Room was spacious with large balcony. However, the bathroom caused us problems as the shower was designed as a wet room but used to flood as the drain was blocked. We informed reception, who sent up a cleaner and a man with a plunger. It was slightly better after a plunge, but not fixed. The cleaner gave us extra towels to place on the floor to contain the water, but we always had to keep turning the water off during the shower, to avoid the water from flooding into the bedroom. My elderly mother was sharing the room with me which was worrying in case she slipped.

Food was fine, choice was limited, which we expected for the price. However, one of us was a vegetarian and had to live off chips, rice and salads because even the vegetables had bacon or ham mixed in with them! I did ask the chef one night what vegetarian choices there were and he didn't seem to have any concept of vegetarian eating at all and pointed to the meat infested veg. He also said we could have the soup but as it looked suspiciously like chicken, we didn't chance it!
