“ Nice location, away form busy centre of Santa Susanna, food was nice, just breakfast menu needs updating plus bathroom as you can see paint falling off and rust, not like 4star hotel you could expect.Nice and helping staff, especially in restaurant.We enjoyed our stay for 5 days with our toddler.

“ Message BodyHotel: Clean, staff were friendly although spoke little english we were able to communicate quite easily.
Food: Great variety; Breakfast: variety of bread, pastries, cold meat, cheese, juice, hot drinks, egg, churros, cereal, milk. Lunch: variety of salad, hot meat, french fries, mushrooms, mixed salad dishes with meat or fish, Fish, paella, chicken. Dinner: turkey, salmon, white fish, hamburgers, grilled whole fish, rabbit, chicken breast, french fries, carrots, peas, potatoes, french fries, lasagne, salads, fresh dishes cooked by chef in open kitchen area of restaurant, augergines, pasta with sauce and cheese all placed seperately and lots lots more..... have to buy your drinks fro lunch and dinner...... had fresh fruit-pear/plum/pineapple/melon/apple/orange, cakes, ice cream, mouses, yoghurt, jelly and an unlimited supply of plates, the food is refilled continuosly and the tables are cleaned round the clock - so you dont have to wait.
Beach: on the doorstep of the hotel, nice clean pool in hotel.
santa susanna is a very grown up resort, laid back, not filled with lots of people and not filled with lots of food places.....if you are looking for a lads/girls night outs then try Lloret de mar...very tourist place and busy with people.
Train: is easy and on the doorstep of the hotel. very cheap and easy to access barcelona which is an hour away. barcelona has a metro service and a day ticket in zone one gets you to anywhere in barcelona including all the tourist places....if you have time!
i would definately recommend this hotel as we had a fab time with great views from our room. live music every night, magic show, parrot show etc, this hotel is very family orientated and suited me as i was 5 months pregnant and wanted a relaxing holiday. the night time is great as there are little market stall and shops down the road to buy souveniers.....all in all it was great and the food was amazing, as me and my husband only eat halal meat we were restricted to fish dishes but there was plenty of variety....... our standard double room had a king bed, spanish tv, wardrobe, good sized en-suite, dresser and chair, have to pay extra for iron, safe, refrigerator and water..room had balcony and patio chairs and table.

“ Top Tip: 1hour from Barcelona - public transport clean, cheap and reliable
Two/three train stops from blanes and then a coach to Lloret de mar (easy to get to the train ticket includes coach ride) - very cheap to get to this place it is filled with tourists, money exchange, souvenier shops, beach with toilet facilities and lots and lots of food places/drink places and night entertainment.
Santa Susanna - which is where Hotel Mercury is located is relaxed and the hotels are good quality not cramped together like most tourist spots, very safe at night to walk etc.

“ 4 STAR HOTEL AND ROOMS FINE BUT RESTO VERY BASIC AND LIKE WORKS CANTEEN. FOOD VERY POOR AND NO MAJOR MEALS JUST TURKEY ROLL. CHICKEN BITS SUCH AS DRUMSTICKS. BASIC DESERTS INCLUDING MINI ICE CREAM TUBS WHICH YOU NEED AT LEAST FIVE OR MORE TO GET THE TASTE. OVERALL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR BUT REALLY ASIDE OF THE FOOD THE HOTEL WAS FINE AND THE POOL BEDS WERE THERE BUT LIMITED AND VERY OLD. AGAIN ITS NOT A CASE OF BAD HOTEL MORE A POOR HOTEL. DRINKS ARE GOOD VALUE AT 1 EURO EACH IF TICKETS PURCHASED BUT BE AWARE ICE IS LOADED AND INSIST NO ICE OTHERWISE LESS THEN 1/4 GLASS IS THE DRINK

“ Top Tip: BUT THE TICKETS FOR BEER. SOFT DRINKS AND BASIC HOUSE WINE 14 DRINKS FOR 15 EUROS ON ARRIVAL. BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE COFFEE TEA OR SHORTS. THESE ARE OVER 2 EUROS OR SO EACH.

“ The hotel was nice and clean, the food was good as well, just the hotel was full of pensioners. The service was poor and the staff could hardly speak english.

“ Top Tip: Do not plan your trip on this time of the year (end winter-begining of spring) unless you are going for relaxation.
