“ We've been to the Royal Sun several times , this trip being our sixth, and have always found it to be clean and well maintained. The staff are always friendly and willing to help especially Anna at reception and Jaime in the dining room who have been exceptional.

we have visited this hotel 3 times and stayed in the other hotel nearby.
this time when we went we found that the bus did not drop of at the hotel and we dropped in the main street as my wife and her friend had to be picked up at 4.30 a.m i find it unacceptable because of where they had to walk to at this time of the morning with the night clubs just closiing.the food standard has dropped
considerably and it was cold when we went to have most of our meals the choice was the same everyday and we ate most of the time at nearby pubs. it was considerably noisier . we dont think well be returning

If you're looking for retro 1970's accommodation this is the place for you, all mirrors and gold coloured aluminium, even the hallways to the rooms look like the one in 'the shining', the food is repetitive and more often cold, as are the pools as they are spend most of the day in the shade, half the staff are nice and polite the other half are a moody bunch, most annoyingly! there's no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms ( i'm teatotal ). On the plus side the rooms are cleaned daily and clean towels every day.
It's safe to say this will not go down as one of our best holidays! though nothing too drastic happened to us - if only! then that at least would be something, but there really is nothing there to entertain you for your whole holiday unless you travel to other area's.
“ Top Tip: There is a hotel behind the royal sun with a bar area called 'disco ok' that put on some very good bands at night.

We have stayed before in 2010...but we feel it now needs to be updated. The Hotel looks and feels rather tired. The entertainment really needs to be uplifted. Its more for kids than adults.
The room was not very clean, many times we had to ask for the floors to be swept cleaned.
The staff were very friendly at all times.
But maybe some updated to be done before it gets worst and old fashioned.
“
Top Tip:
The location was perfect right in front of the beach...AWESOME!!!!
We had a room on the 5th floor with seaview...

“ We've been to the Royal Sun several times , this trip being our sixth, and have always found it to be clean and well maintained. The staff are always friendly and willing to help especially Anna at reception and Jaime in the dining room who have been exceptional. We did notice a slight change in the quality and variety of food offered and it wont suit everyone , with a lot catering for continental tastes , but we always found enough to eat including my daughter who is a very fussy eater. There are also changes to the all inclusive system at the bar as they have introduced a recycling card which you have to hand over when ordering a drink and is returned to you when you bring your empty glass back which we thought is more a way of controlling the amount of drink consumed and cutting the bar staffs work than having any environmental impact. The rooms are acceptable but they could do with being refurbished although they are kept very clean by the excellent maid service. The hotel couldn't be better positioned right on the beautiful sandy beach and close to shops, bars and the railway station for a trip down the cast or into Barcelona.
