“ Nice hotel and a gorgeous location. We asked for a sea view but they wanted to charge us an extra 15.00 Euros per night.

A very good hotel, directly opposite the beach. It is a short walk from the centre of town and a number of restaurants. The room was spacious and very clean.
This hotel is ideal as a base for exploring, or as a convenient location for using the beach. It is not really suitable for those who want to lounge by the pool for two weeks.
The breakfast food was of good quality. I cannot comment on the evening meals as we stayed B&B.
The hotel is pet friendly and has a small park at its entrance. I can recommend this hotel to couples of all ages and to families who like to holiday together. It is not suitable for those who want to let their kids roam. The majority of guests are Spanish or German, though Reception staff also speak fluent English.

Easy to find -signposted, and we were able to park just outside the hotel grounds. A very warm welcome at reception on arrival and staff were lovely throughout our week's stay, even though we had only a few words of Spanish and were the only English couple for most of our visit. Special praise for Manuel who was particularly helpful and friendly. Excellent choice at breakfast and dinner buffets with hotel drinks priced very reasonably. Just a short walk to the huge beach and to shops, bars, restaurants etc. We had a room on a high floor with sea views with a balcony in sun most of the day.
We arrived very early in the season -got busier during the week both with Spanish arriving for Easter and also German tourists. Weather too cold to try out the pools. Nothing much in the way of evening entertainment, which suited us, but maybe something is organised in the busiest part of the season.
“ Top Tip: The nearby hilltop town of Vejer with its white-washed buildings is worth a trip and a day can be spent sightseeing /shopping in the City of Cadiz, around half an hour drive away. The roads are very good - we flew in to Gibraltar, walked over the border to collect a hire car and had an hour and three quarter easy drive to the hotel.

Very nice accomodation and lay out. Swimming pool lovely but it is a swimming pool not suitable for kids - thank goodness!
Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner with plenty of variety including local dishes.
Only observation is that rooms were a bit 'echoey' so if you had noisy neighbours the sound travelled - but this was not a problem.
The staff were outstanding in every way.
“
Top Tip:
Take a travel kettle for early morning tea!
Go to south to Cape Trafalgar - only 17k and possible on bikes that are available at shop near to hotel (better and cheaper than hotel bikes)
Then walk north on the beach and cliff top path to the lighthouse at Roche - nice bar in harbour (in a portakabin!) populated by locals!

“ If you want to avoid non Spanish tourists this is the place for you! No other Brits that we were aware of at the hotel, in late July, which suited me down to the ground as it was great to be immersed in the warmth of Spanish family life around the pool and in the restaurant (Reception speaks good English though). The standard of food was above average and reasonably varied, the rooms were simple but quite stylish (with fantastic shower pressure I might add), the gardens and pool were really lovely and there was no problem getting sunbeds as the Spanish don't jump up at the crack of dawn to "bagsy" sunbeds with their towels. Best feature is the raised location, as the hotel is situated on the quieter edge of town and has stunning views across the endless golden sandy beaches. The down side of this is that if mobility is a problem there are a few steep ascensions and steps to negotiate (hence may be less suitable for elderly tourists, although the hotel has lifts). I loved the fact you were minutes from the beach and not much further into the restaurant lined alleyways and plazas of the lively town. Great for young families especially but my teenage boys (14 and 16) seemed happy enough despite there not being a whole lot to do re.sports and activities. Would definitely recommend this hotel, town and location.
“ Top Tip: Due to the value of the Euro, eating out seemed a lot more costly than I'm used to when visiting Spain but the standard and price of food seemed pretty much the same wherever we ate. Big on seafood and I'd recommend getting fried fish mixtures from the cheap and tasty Pescado friterios on the walk into the town centre (kind of Spanish Fish and Chips). La Fontanilla restaurant, to the right of the hotel and more or less on the beach, is a great location but food was no better than other places. Just up the hill from the hotel entrance was a nice Pizzeria and other pizzerias we tried were all good (sometimes need a break from the more oily spanish fare). I liked a restaurant called El Patio, again on the walk into town, and it did the best Raciones and tapas we tasted. With a hire car, accessible day visits I'd recommend would be to Jerez de la Frontera (visit the gonzales byass Tio Pepe sherry bodega near the main catherdral), Cadiz (you can't miss the hop on hop off Tourist bus as you drive in to this commanding city and there's an underground car park right next to it), Vejer de la frontera ("pueblo blanco" 9 kms inland) and although a bit of a drive, Ronda was so worth the visit (take the motorway rather than the "scenic route"!) - even my teenage boys were impressed with the stunning vistas.
