The breakfast was included in the price and was a good continental breakfast but do not expect a good english breakfast.

Much cheaper in comparison to Gibraltar hotels, the AC La Linea was better than expected.
It was comfortable and very clean with fresh linen and towels each day. The free mini bar and toiletries were replaced as and when used .
The breakfast was delicious with a range of cheeses, fruits, breads, meats, yoghurts, fruit juices.

Top Tip:
Approximately a 20 minute walk to the border of Gibraltar, which on your return journey if you are tired, costs about 5 Euros in a taxi. All the taxi drivers understood "AC La Linea Santa Marta" and were friendly even when you do get in the wrong side of the cab and end up in the drivers seat.
The Zen Restaurant almost opposite the border offers a great "all you can eat" deal (20 euro) with Chinese food from the menu and all you can drink lager, soft drinks tea and coffee.
The Marina in Gibraltar is also a great place to eat & drink and offers an alternative to Casemates Square.
Don't try to walk the complete circumference of the rock..... there are few places to get refreshments and if you walk from Europa Point up the right hand side of the rock you get to see the crematorium and smell the rubbish tip before being blocked by M.O.D. from going any further! The number 3 bus from the frontier does it all much easier and only costs 90pence return or 1.20 for a day rider and if you wish to explore the other side, take the number 4 from the stop by the blue bridge on the left hand side of the road.

“ Hotel was modern and contemporary in style and similar quality to the Travelodge brand in the U.K. Room was a good size, very clean and was well equipped with TV, Phone, Ensuite bathroom with bath & shower and best of all a FREE mini bar. Only noticable exception was that there was no tea/coffee making facility in the room. The hotel is a great choice for those wishing to visit Gibraltar, as it was only a 25 minute stroll to the border checkpoint. La Linea itself is a bit run down and the area around the hotel lokked a bit dodgy. Having said that we parked our hire car right outside and left it there for 24 hours without a problem. If coming back from Gibraltar after dark. would recommend getting a taxi at around 4 Euros. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot coment on the food or service. Reception staff were very friendly and spoke good english. There does not appear to be anywhere to eat close to the hotel so the nearest option is Maccy D's in La Linea opposite the border checkpoint, or go in to Gibraltar town for a wide choice at reasonable price. If you are going to GIB, best to get the red number 10 bus just over the border and ask for a day hopper ticket for around £1.20 sterling or 2 Euros. Cheapest place to buy in GIB is Morrisons supermarket although choice of goods is limited to food/drink and a few luxury goods such as DVD's and computer games.
“ Top Tip: Top tips are 1. Get parked as close to hotel entrance as possible (free) and if not able too, ask to use hotel underground car park at additional cost. 2. Dont walk around outside after dark as you may fell a bit uncomfortable. 3. Eat in GIB and use Sterling as they will accept Euros and Sterling everywhere, but at a very poor exchange rate as you can see from the bus fare above.

Good location, clean modern interior, efficient and helpful reception, nice clean modern room, sea and Gibraltar views. Buffet style breakfast with hot and cold options nothing special but nethertheless more than adequate, after all it's only a small hotel.
They have a small pool but this was drained when we were there early October, but as it was for one night only this wasn't a problem for us. Very close to beach and town centre about 7 to 10 mins flat walk. There appears to be quite a few restuarants in the immediate vicinity (ie close to town centre and on the sea front).
The downside is that the hotel is very close to the seafront, Algeciras side, and hence quite a lot of traffic noise late into the evening - but I suppose it is Spain, always a bit noisy in the towns.
We would consider staying there again if we were flying into / out of Spain via Gibraltar.
“ Top Tip: Very convenient for beach, town centre and local restuarants. The Gibraltar border is only a 15 minute walk or 5 mins in a taxi. Easy access to other routes North (Cadiz, Jerez, Seville) or East towards Malaga and the Costa del Sol.
