Great hotel. Spacious rooms + plenty of free parking.

Main drawback was location - easily 2 kms. from the main road and ALL uphill.

Car an absolute necessity.

I have put no for the beach and resturants because you really do need a car, they are close but probably a little beyond walking distance.
The hotel was amazing, value for money, and fantastically furnished. our room had everything a family could need, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two showers, and a jacuzzi bath. our terrace was huge, the living room with tv (and 3 english channels) and dining area was a fantastic bonus and the kitchen had everything you need. The only reason i didnt give it 10 stars as the beds were really hard and manilva didnt have much there. That being said it did give us a great base as we spent two days in puerto banus and two days in gibraltar aswell.

Top Tip: the resturants in duquessa harbour can be quite expensive (pretty much the same as everywhere in spain really) but we found a lovely little cafe on the left hand side of the harbour that was very reasonable and had lovely service, unfortunatley the name escapes me but it is very destinctly decorated in black and green so shouldnt be too hard to find.
Manilva beach is not that great but if you travel to Puerto banus there is a lovely one.
If you do go to gibraltar do yourself a favour and make sure you walk to the middle apes den (for some reason the cable car does not stop at the middle between april and september) we walked down as there was a powercut while we were at the top and i was so glad we did as i ended up with a monkey jumping up my back and sitting on my head! definatley wouldnt have that experience in a zoo.

Car essential, watch for pot holes in road up to hotel. Better pricing on display at the bar and restaurant would be helpful.

Lovely hotel with nice surroundings. Apartment walls are thin and you can here people in surrounding rooms. No kettle in apartment. Would not recomend the hotel restaraunt there are much better in Duqesa marina. Staff are very helpfull.

Top Tip: Make sure you hire a car as hotel on a steep hill. Lovely gardens nearby where you can find a basic crazy golf and lovely gardens and play area. English chip shop near eroski supermarket. Duquesa marina nearby has many varieties of restaraunts.

We only stayed for a weekend, but found the apartment excellent. The previous comments about thin walls was spot on, especially when the neighbours are amorous at 3 am !!
On arrival the reception was very friendly and helpful.
We ate in the restaurant, the food was good and reasonably priced.
