“ As far as value for money goes, could not fault it. The room was nicely decorated and had a balcony with river views and close to restaurants/bars/shops. Beds were VERY hard. Situated right opposite the catamaran which takes you across the bay to Cadiz. Staff very helpful. Many of the restaurants in the area were closed, presumably because it is out of season.

“ This hotel is clean and quite and in a fantastic location for getting the boat to Cadiz and eating in Puerto de Santa Maria. It has fast free wifi and the swimming pool on the roof is good. It has a very slightly dated feel, but to be honest that didn't bother me at all. In fact if it were more modern, the price would reflect that fact. I would very happily stay at this hotel again.
“ Top Tip: Eat at Romijeros in La Puerta if you like sea food. It's really good fun and ignore any reviews that say the waiters are rude. You just have to go for it.

The hotel is situated in the historical area of town. The public rooms are tastefully decorated. We were a party of five and booked two rooms the double room was fine apart from the very hard beds. Our triple room that was in great need of some TLC and smaller than the double we had next door. All the beds were rock hard. This is no understatement and marred my enjoyment of the stay. Also dont book the breakfast it was awful. I know about not having any of the cooked food for breakfast in Spain but the fruit had seen better days and all the cakes were pre packed. We just had toast and drinks which did no represtent good value. The bar was cheaper than expected but the staff were few and far between. Reception however were very helpful.
Good to see the roof top pool was still open as most Spanish hotels close them in September.
Would I recommend this hotel? Just because of the sleepless uncomfortable night and resulting backache. No

Top Tip:
The hotel was very close for sherry tasting. Osbournes sherry whose bull trademark you see dotted around the Spanish is two minutes walk away.
Kids loved the fact that there was a Ben and Jerrys ice cream palour just up the road.
We also had some lovely tapas in all the bars and cafes we used.
We were using hotel as a stpring board for a day trip t Cadiz but the ferrys werent working.
