“ mismatched crockery and silverware, infrequent linen changes , sporadic rubbish removal, desultory attitude of staff, microwave but no kettle !, grubby , definitely nowhere near a 4star hotel but has no competition in San Fernando. Much better hotels in Cadiz especially the Hotel Atlantico parador.
“ Top Tip: San Fernando's rejuvenated town centre and new train / tram services are very good

This hotel should never be rated as 4 star. It is more like a hostel. The apartment was dirty with broken furniture and not enough cutlery/plates etc. Upon arrival , the apartment floor had not even been swept. There were bread crumbs and hair whirls in the kitchen area. No cleaning was complete during our 10 day stay but towels were changed and the kitchen bin emptied. The balcony had only 2 chairs and was filthy. The sofa bed was originally white and blue but this was brown with use and age. We found glass fragments on the floor and hair in the bathroom. Although there was a washing machine, the kitchen had no oven - just a microwave and hob. Whilst we accept the Spanish way of life is staying up much later than UK timings, there were groups of rowdy guests partying well past 4am. My children were woken up on many occasions. The only time to obtain good rest was between 4-6 pm. We were unable to complain to reception as with my limited Spanish and the receptionist's very limited english, we struggled to obtain a new loo roll let alone complain about the standard of accomodation! Outside of the apartment, the hotel is very tired and dirty looking. Whilst I accept there is a dust issue, this does not incorporate litter from the nearby McDonalds and Burger King. The pools were adequate and sun loungers plentiful. This is a Spanish holiday hotel and very few other nationalities holiday here. If using an apartment, do not forget washing up liquid, tea towels and dish cloths but most importantly toilet cleaners and disinfectant, a brush and mop - you will need it!
Underneath the hotel is a huge carrefour and shopping centre with a few restaurants. Some of these are expensive but convenient. For traditional Spanish food and ambiance go to Cadiz - lovely beaches too. There is nothing in San Fernando apart from apartment blocks.

“ Good location for San Fernando but not really holiday resort. Very handy for shopping centre. Hotel adequate but looking a bit jaded.

“ A good place with easy access to Jerez, Seville and Cadiz. The beach two miles away is better than any we have experienced.
“ Top Tip: All restaurants were excellent, in the shopping mal and just outside in the main part of San Feranando
