Refurbished early in 2010, the interior of the hotel is now very smart.
It's position, close to the beach and the riverside restaurants, is excellent. It is only about a 1km walk into the centre of the town, with its restaurants, tapas bars, etc.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We did not eat dinner at the hotel, but the buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
Sanlucar is a very 'Spanish' town with very little commercialisation and little English spoken, although in the hotel staff had good command of English.

Top Tip:
Walk along the Bajo Guia riverside nearby, have a drink or meal and watch the sunset.
Casa Bigote is very good and reasonably priced.
Catch the local bus to Jerez (1.55 euros each way!) for a day out.
If you want tourist tat, go somewhere else!

“ Top Tip: Walk to the beach, turn right and a few minutes walk away, there are at least half a dozen restaurants - all good.

“ The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and keen to help. It was a pleasure to stay apart from the fact that the walls are a bit thin and we woken every morning at 6am by the occupants next door having a shower!!
“ Top Tip: The Plaza up in the centre of town is excellent for typically spanish bars and restuarants selling tapas and fabulous seafood. The Mirador Donana and the Secundi (? not sure of spelling) but further along from the Mirador on the beach front .

Our rooms were on the street side of the hotel and therefore very noisy at night. When we were there it was a fiesta weekend and the noise went on all night.
In the bedroom there was no mirror near a power socket therefore it was impossible to plug in hair tongues or straiteners where you could see what you were doing in a mirror, The staff were brilliant and lent me an extension lead, but it´s a basic design fault in the bedrooms.
Breakfast buffet was good.
