The centre of the 5,000-strong population Punta Umbria is located around 500 m from the hotel. Seville's airport is around 95 km away and links to the public transport network can easily be reached on foot.The welcoming rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a minibar/ fridge, Internet access, air conditioning, a hire safe and central heating.There is a swimming pool with a children's pool in the outdoor complex as well as a pool/ snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. “ The food was generally very good, with the exception of breakfast, which was rather average. Service throughout the hotel - reception, bar, restaurant, could be variable. Maintenance standards were poor. Our first room had a broken patio door lock, half inch gaps in the floor grout, and air conditioning that didn't. None of these problems were resolved, despite repeated requests. The maintenance man who came to fix the air con. measured the output temperature at 25 degrees. We had to ask for the sheets to be changed after a week, expecting them to be changed 'tomorrow'. I think I would not endorse its four star award. The hotel situation was very good, with a short wooden walkway to the beach, but there are few entertainments within walking distance.

Top Tip:
We enjoyed the 'Canoa' boat/ferry to Huelva from the main town, but it only runs July and August we were told. The Huelva terminus is a short walk from the city.
The beach is huge, miles in both directions, gently sloping, and safe.

“ Air con wasn't that cold on the room. Buffet restaurant had amazing selection of food. Good for families. Our son really enjoyed the hotel entertainment.
“ Top Tip: Punta Umbria central is a bustling little town centre - very lively at night - lots of little shops, bars and restaurants all open late. All locals - not full of English tourists. Only 1 5 minute drive from the hotel. Make sure you pay to park on the street - don't get a 90 euro fine like me !

Hotel and staff first class.
Only slight problem was we were allocared a pool view room instead of a sea view room. On querying this we were allocated the correct room and the hotel stated they had been givn wrong information by the booking agent.

“ The hotel was fantastic and everything went very well. The only problem we experienced was that the Television in our room would not keep the correct settings and we could not view the channels in English. We have the engineer and the Assistant Manager to our room every day and still it could not be resolved. We had a wonderful view over the beach and the swimming pool from our room which was lovely. The food in the restaurant was delicious and every night there was entertainment. There is also a complimentary bus to Punta Umbria which we used on our last day. The hotel is of a very high standard and is very quiet. A lovely holiday. It was a shame that the sun loungers were not available on the beach but otherwise a great hotel.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is right on top of a sandy beach with warm sea and you access it via a secuirty door. A fantastic hotel to relax at. We will return.
