Riviera Hotel

“ The hotel was lovely, clean, quiet and well kept. The staff were excellent. We arrived several hours late, as the flight was delayed, and the restaurant had closed, but they had set us a table in the restaurant with a plate of cold meats, cheese, salad, rolls and olives and a bottle of water. It was such a nice thought as it was midnight and we were starving after travelling best part of a day. The reception staff spoke good English and the restaurant staff were great trying to speak English as hard as we tried to speak Spanish. Look out for Horacio the clumsy waiter though, I don't think there was a day that he didn't drop a plate of drinks, had us in stitches, he was the original Manuel. Will definitely go back there, we loved it. Excellent value, lovely people.

“ Very good value for money. Perhaps a slight improvement on the meals. Also more comfortable seating area in the reception to sit about in or relax after your meal. They only have one settee and a couple of ordinary chairs. When the restaurant is busy at meal times, sometimes the tables a not cleared quick enough for other people to sit at the tables. Staff very helpfull, rooms always cleaned well. We have visited this Hotel twice now and would return again.

“ Top Tip: market in Gandia is on Sat and worth a visit,use bus from outside hotel as parking is a problem, fare 1 euro.
