“ Cortijo Chico is a perfect stopping off place for late flights into Malaga. Excellentbreakfast and helpful staff. Our visit was during a cold February night and an extra balnket or 2 wouldn't have come amiss.

“ This was an ideal hotel to stop off at after a late flight into Malaga airport. Although close to the airport it was quiet and relaxing. The staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast was very good. Situated close to a regular bus sevice it was well placed for access into Malaga.

Stayed here with my partner in January 09 as we always try to get away at this time of year for a few days warmer weather. Prior to booking I like many read the reviews and was a little sceptical because of its location so I will attempt to give you as honest opinion as I can.
The hotel is reasonably close to the airport, 10/15 mins drive.
It is quite a small hotel in comparison with others in the costa del sol area (41 bedrooms).
Only about 2 years old and is therefore practically brand new.
Free car parking both outside and underneath which will be a god send in summer.
Two free internet computers in reception.
Rooms basic but all brand new and big enough and very clean! Nice marble bathroom with excellent shower cubicle.
Breakfast was as I expected (european continental). Bread rolls, cerial, fresh orange juice, fruit, tea/coffee etc etc. If you don't expect a full breakfast then you won't be disappointed. I really liked it.
Staff were all excellent.
I loved the hotel overall because I did my research and it was exactly as I expected, therefore I suggest you do your resaearch as it won't suit all. If you don't have a car you'll be lost as it is not located near anything, which for us was great but it won't suit all. We never took kids and to be honest it is not suitable for them because again, its location from the beach and no pool. Evening meal in the restauarant again was excellent and reasonably priced compared with other restaurants.
Don't be put off with its location as it is a really nice hotel if you don't mind being away from the action. My top tip and I recomend this to everyone going on holiday anywhere is: google the hotel name and read other reviews. Get the hotel post code and put it into Google Earth and tick 'roads' which I think is on the left. Then zoom right in on the hotel and drag the map around so that you can see exactly where it is in comparisson with everything else. Google Earth is absoloutly brilliant! I am going to Florida next and have already done Google Earth and I can see where all the theme parks are in comparisson with my hotel, how to get to my hotel, where the nearest WallMart is located etc etc. Brilliant!
We had a really nice stay at this hotel and would stop there again if we went back to Malaga.
