Los Pintores Hotel

“ I think it was Margaret Thatcher who among others said 'you pay for what you get' and i suppose at the price I paid at the peak of the holiday season I wasn't expecting a lot. The hotel (Velazquez) in the Los Pintores complex was indeed basic. However it was clean (room cleaned everyday) and well air conditioned. As my stay did not include food, I could not really comment on that aspect although what I saw of the breakfast. it looked good. One minor inconvenience was when you left your key at reception, quite often when you would return to collect it, you would have to waith behind a queue of people checking in or checking out. normally it would be the type of hotel that I would have no problem staying in for a few days but for a week or two week holiday I would be inclined to go up market a bit in future.

“ Top Tip: There were plenty of good pubs and restaurants close by - location is certainly a strong point.

“ Seen lots of bad comments, but yes its a spanish speaking hotel set up mainly for spanish tourists & as an english couple the very friendly staff tried there best to look after us. Would return again for a long w/end break

“ Top Tip: chinese set menu near co co,s €5.25 excellent food also spanish bar /cafe opposite cheap local food & drink

“ Hotel terrible. Food vile. Balcony dangerous. Bed broken. Up a huge hill. 3 sister hotels and transfer droped us at wrong hotel. Pool in shade, only a few sun beds. Wardrobe had screws hanging out. Bath vile. Should never be a 3 star.

“ I found the hotel dreadful! None of the staff spoke good English so was extremely difficult to ask for simple things ie room safe, water etc. The food was very poor and I really regret paying for half board. The air con in the room hardly worked, the bathroom was dirty.
