La Jabega Hotel

“ This hotel is excellently placed for lots of different restaurants, bars, the harbour and oposite to the beach. The rooms are large, beds comfortable, balconies very large, bathrooms great with all you could want and plenty of hot water. Large mugs for tea which were appreciated. Very nice bar with entertainment each night which any age could not object to, very friendly staff. One small niggle is people who do not read the information left to them by the hotel and constantly walk over the floors above you in hard shoes and move the furniture each time they are in - as the management say it is annoying for people below because of the marble floors. We were also woke everyday by the families in adjoining rooms who when up where constantly ringing each others door bells and banging the doors, after about an hour you do get annoyed with those bells and doors.
Would i stay again, definitely, lovely hotel. Lovely weather and a lovely way to spend New Years - Nothing happens at the hotel incidentally on New Years Eve, it is dead. The main square is also dead. All locals and visitors go to Feungirola square to see in the New Year which we did followed by a nice drink in a lovely bar on the road behind our hotel. No grand fireworks which is what we expected.
So easy to get to hotel on the train which leaves from the airport itself and is a very efficient way of travelling around the area and extremely cheap.

“ Top Tip: The Sandpiper Restaurant, lovely home cooked food and friendly staff and very reasonable - three causes for E12.96 evenings, 2 courses E8.95 daytime Sandpiper very nice English food, Lovely fresh fish restaurant on the front on the corner of the square - very popular with the locals for fresh fish.
