“ Good size rooms, very clean and well maintained. Pool area is on 5th floor with great views of the mountains and harbour. Meals are of a good standard, lots of choice to suit all tastes. El Tren bar has a good atmosphere with friendly bar man and live entertainment. Rooms overlooking the street can be a bit noisy.
“ Top Tip: Take a bus up to Mijas, well worth a visit. Train runs from Malaga centre to Fuengirola, with a stop at the airport on route, cheap and easy way to get to and from airport and to other resorts on the Costa Del Sol.

Was a bit dubious after reading other reviews, but took a chance and had a fantasic time. Cant fault the hotel at all, we booked half board and the food was excellent with loads of choice, happy hour in the bar every night (by 1 get 1 free) room was nice and clean and for January we had glorious sunshine on the balcony from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm every day.
Please note though, T.V. has sky news only in English
“ Top Tip: The Sandpiper on the front does a great steak for 8.00 euros only found this out on the last day when we were leaving.

“ This hotel is a combination of three hotels merged into one. The room was very comfortable, and clean, however on the small size. The shower was very powerful and plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly.

“ We have stayed at this hotel previously. The food and entertainment were mainly good*. It was a pity about the weather. Yes we had wall to wall sunshine but the icy gale kept temperatures below 10 degrees! The hotel should invest in proper central heating as the air conditioning struggled to keep temperatures warm.

Benalmadena Palace offers 183 apartments decorated in an Andalucian-Mediterranean style decoration. The hotel offers guests an excellent range of leisure facilities including 3 swimming pools and a fully equipped gym. Entertainment is also available for both adults and children on an evening and during the day. The hotel is just 150 metres from the nearest beach.
“ Self catering facilities are very poor - only 2 rings, sink, fridge and microwave, no oven or freezer and one saucepan /2 frying pans!!. We had to clean everything in the self catering area cutlery, utensils, crockery etc before they were fit to be used.
